your dad being a politician doesnt automatically mean he's corrupt unless you have evidence proving he is. Do you? Not all politicians are corrupt although a huge number of them are. No he's not. Nigerians like to say ALL politicians are corrupt, so I was just thinking along those lines.

Is something wrong with being a nurse? Did I say an IT job was a secure or not a secure job? Do you really want to go down that lane?

Niyi Adeyemi is a BRILLIANT boy, He was just a thief, maybe its because his parents had high expectations for him BUT no one starts from the top you have to build your way up.

IT job is not a secure job? It is one of the few jobs out there where you get to work manipulating and handling highly sensitive data.
Do you know how many security clearances we are required to have on some of the IT jobs in banks and government establishments? Only recently, I worked on on such project and discovered how easy it was to get access to information on once you are trusted, not only the government but on millions on Americans. I thanked my God that the company was able to trust me that much to have me working on such a project.
Now to have a fellow nigerian once again ruin such a chance for many of us at one of those such firms, not a good thing.
They are NOT ruining anything for you, because people get to where they are based on whom they know. With the people you meet and the type of credentials you have, <edu et. al.> no matter how many fraudulent people that there are, you will be fine.

If Nigerians are being arrested for crimes in lil jobs as this, what say you when a large population of Nigerians applies for highly secured jobs like FBI, CIA etc. . . .

lots of Nigerians are already in both agencies. And have been for donkey years. No biggie. However, the mistake is in assuming a "good guy" vs "bad guy" mentality where these issues are concerned.

I don't agree with this, I choose to believe that people are hired based on their credentials and whom they know. There are many Nigerians in highly secured jobs and they got there based on what they are able to prove to the world at work. Are all Italian mobsters ? What about the Jews caught in New Jersey ? Are all African Americans gangsters ?

True. And the fact that when it comes to NIGERIANs , it becomes a huge news. I only wish for the news reporters to claim them as "African Americans" like they do the rest of Black people in this country.

Of course it'll be unlawful to hire people based on their nationality. But dont think there arent biased employees out there.

lots of Nigerians are already in both agencies. And have been for donkey years. most of them are prolly nigerian-americans, not the foreigner versions- so they are prolly less likely to be 419ers like posakosas friend birds of the same feather move together situation i suppose

The CIA and FBI do discriminate when hiring, and rightly so. Orthodox Jews have a very hard time getting jobs with those agencies because many of them pass secrets to Israelis.

U're such a NIGGER. you lack class. a lot- i can tell you are a politician's child. You sound nouveau middle class. You can take a thug from the bush and dress him up nicely,- with Armani suit and all, but you can never take the bush instincts away from him. Do you guys know how bad nigeria's reputation is because of 419 and our scamming of people? do know how famous we are now and how much harm your friends have caused? When sony put up the nigerian scam commercial everyone was shouting bloody mary, and I just kept quiet because they were not saying a lie. The CIA and FBI do discriminate when hiring, and rightly so. Orthodox Jews have a very hard time getting jobs with those agencies because many of them pass secrets to Israelis. yeah they do, and I am sure somewhere in the law, they have their asses covered. For one, hiring people from certain nationalities would be a major breach to the national security of the US. Middle Easterners would face and those with muslim names even if they have lived all their lives in the US. Why so? Because the Middle east has gotten a reputation (I would say a bit unfairly) for terrorism. While we are building our rep for 419, no financial institution would be willing to hire someone with roots from naija. Infact, I am sure the US postal system (where naija ppl have been found to open letters to see if there are checks or something they can take) would start banning us from working there. Every action has a consequence direct or indirect. '

I get the feeling he somehow believes he is immune from all the scrutiny we currently get as Nigerians abroad.

Because I have said something about myself, u're now taking a yab at me ? I know many VPs of American banks who are Nigerians. Being Nigerian has nothing to do with anything. Who you know and your credentials is enough to get you where you want to be.
