Bolton Vs Chelsea [0-4] On Saturday, 31st October
« on: October 30, 2009, 10:50 AM »

Bolton will host Chelsea at the Reebok on Saturday afternoon.

Chelsea currently top the EPL table with 24 points, 2 points ahead of Manchester United.
The Blues defeated Bolton easily on Wednesday night at Stamford Bridge in their Carling Cup tie. They just might be tempted to take this next EPL clash for granted; while they are the favorites, it will be their undoing if they do.  .  .especially as they've suffered a few unexpected away defeats so far this season.
Chelsea will welcome first team starters John Terry and Frank Lampard back for this game. The duo were rested on Wednesday night, while Didier Drogba came off the bench.
With Drogba and Anelka - Ancellotti's regular pair - spearheading the attack, Bolton's defenders will have a lot to think about.
Frank Lampard seems to have recovered his scoring boots. Lampard, Ballack, Essien, Malouda and Deco are available starting midfield choices for Ancellotti. Most welcome boost to the midfield is Joe Cole, who seems to be fully recovered from his injury spell.
In defence, Alex is also back for the squad. He had an okay game against Bolton on Wednesday night, and with Ricardo Carvalho's set-piece defending currently suspect, Alex just might be a welcome change.
If Chelsea fail to win, they will be at risk of getting caught up on the table by Manchester United.  .  .provided the Red Devils win.

Bolton missed the physical presence of striker Kevin Davies in attack on Wednesday night, but coach Gary Megson said he would be back in the starting line-up for the visit of Chelsea to the Reebok.
Megson is determined to give Chelsea a good fight at the Reebok on Saturday, playing attacking football from the word 'go'. With no major injury concerns, his squad is set to make a good attempt at snatching 3 points from Chelsea.

Being a Chelsea fan, i want Chelsea to win by another 4-0 so as to maintain the leadership position on the premiership table.

However, Chelsea players should not allow complacency to set in from the bashing inflicted on Bolton in the Carling Cup.

Chelsea for Life. Blues forever.

Why would anyone call this match "a walk in the park"
Confidence in one's team is good. .
Overconfidence is destructive. .

The team we beat on Wednesday had up to 5 absent first team players.
These guys are deadly with set-pieces and very organised in defence.
