Please try to finetune your mindset towards seeing things from a clear perspective rather than thru religious or tribal lenses, coz it doesnt do the country any good.I'm sure at least one,if not all 3 senators representing your state is/are also corrupt.I'm a southerner but there's no reason to make d issue a north/muslim thing

show of comedy indeed. and whoever made that comment or suggestions must either be daft, dumb or stupid all all of the afore mentioned. was it not this same niger delta that jtf invaded earlier on this year that lives and properties were lost ?   i doubt if all these so called senators sef passed through an insitution of learning or actually reason before opening their mouth and talk nonsense.

recently they passed bill in sending kidnappers to jail for think 50yrs or something like that not sure. they are busy passing useless laws when majority of people are lacking power, good roads, good educational facilities, hospitals. etc

Naija real show or comedians and empty headed, selfish, self centered, corrupt, daft, inhuman people who call themselves senators and law makers.

Only about less than half of the militants have been disarmed, meanwhile more weapons & ammunitions are smuggled in every week!
Dat amnesty is just anoda avenue for diversion of funds!

If the amnesty granted militants has helped opened the creeks for safer bunkery activities by the senators and their cohorts, it falls on them to honor the man with a 'noble' peace prize. Who told you all the peace in the area was for commoners like you? Get a life! The 'Sani Abacha' peace prize has been agreed upon. What is so special in that swede nobel? We are a good people great nation, we would give out our own!

God, i wish i could get 5 more guys like myself and just blow up the damn House of Senate with them suckers all up in there. I bet, it will restore some sanity to the country and keep off others who think they can continue to play the masses around like football.

@ eros: a Nigerian once said if we could take out about 5,000 bad eggs, over 150mil Nigerians'll taste wealth. I'm now thinking we could do that to a smaller number for starters and observe what happens. Sincerely, this has gone beyond the usual 'God dey' mentality. Billions wasted to temporarily pacify militants & the senate's tryna be comic. So what's it gon be bro?

Priceless comedy. So Nigerian senators hold the secret to the Nobel Prize all along. Might they have helped POTUS to win his. Two of my neighbours had a fight over land and I successfully brought them to a joint table and we had dinner together. Someone should forward my name to the senators I beg.

Hello hello hello!!!

For those of you who dont know about the Alfred Nobel Prize here is his will:
Quote
The whole of my remaining realizable estate shall be dealt with in the following way:

The capital shall be invested by my executors in safe securities and shall constitute a fund, the interest on which shall be annually

distributed in the form of prizes to those who, during the preceding year, shall have conferred the greatest benefit on mankind. The

said interest shall be divided into five equal parts, which shall be apportioned as follows: one part to the person who shall have

made the most important discovery or invention within the field of physics; one part to the person who shall have made the most

important chemical discovery or improvement; one part to the person who shall have made the most important discovery within the

domain of physiology or medicine; one part to the person who shall have produced in the field of literature the most outstanding

work of an idealistic tendency; and one part to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity among

nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses.

The prizes for physics and chemistry shall be awarded by the Swedish Academy of Sciences; that for physiological or medical works

by Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm; that for literature by the Academy in Stockholm; and that for champions of peace by a

committee of five persons to be elected by the Norwegian Storting. It is my expressed wish that in awarding the prizes no

consideration whatever shall be given to the nationality of the candidates, so that the most worthy shall receive the prize, whether

he be Scandinavian or not.

You can read more :

The prize is not about best governance but for doing  something to promote peace and that is why Obama

was awarded the Prize within his first of office.
