Grey skies through the window Doesn’t matter what you call it in any lingo
Its meaning so poignant like a cold draft of wind That sends chills up your spine creates goose pimples on your skin.
It manifests as fear it thrives in depression It attacks all creeds peoples of every nation
Mists on high that blanket our view Oh for that precious sunny light that springs life anew
Walking aimlessly like a confused band Oh for the good shepherd to lead us by the hand
Lead from the front illuminate our way Our star by night sun by day
Clearing our path of thorns and mines Opening our road up to a place so divine
No more clouded senses dimmed lenses Nor road blocks or high fences
Just a sparkling presence Part of eternity’s essence
Oh can’t wait to grace that splendorous place Alas I have to wait
And make do while the wind blows The grey skies I see through my window
