That's so idealistic,  and wrong. Some people are ugly because they possess qualities that modern society, through magazines, news, advertising, etc., has deemed unattractive. A century ago in Europe, a little pudge, pale skin, and a large forehead were attractive. I believe this is because these qualities indicated a good pick in some way. Pudge and pale skin indicated wealth, as only the rich women could afford extra food and to stay out of the sun. I don't know about the forehead, but maybe it was a feature commonly occuring in royal lines. Anyway, today, pudge is generally ugly, because that is the prevailing media consensus. Pale skin is nerdy, because only dorks stay inside all day (a tan is pretty). And large foreheads are wierd, because they are too different. The reason make-up is so prevalent is that it allows women to all meet the same attractive ideal. Girls in uniform are statistically more attractive, and if you look different, it is almost certainly not attractive. So the answer is, yes, there is an attractive and an unattractive. These concepts exist for a reason. But if you and your partner are both butt ugly, you will probably be too happy with each other (and too unable to do better)  to notice.

You know, it's thinking like that that made me very unhappy for a long time. In school, I always denied the social fact that some people are just better than others. I denied that some people just are not good football players, some are not good studyers, and some are just not good for anything. I forced myself to believe that no one was better than me, that we were all somehow equal, and it made me very competitive. I thought, it's not that these people are better, it's that they work harder or they come from better homes. So I worked harder and had less fun. In the end, those people were smarter, and they wern't even trying. I still had no friends. I think that if you accept that some people are ugly, you will be a lot happier. Some things in life are just out of reach because you aren't good enough. Jealousy just makes things worse, too.

I actually read a statistical survey that said being good looking does make you happy, along with religion. But intelligence and money make you no more happy. I theorize that social relationships make people happy. Being the smartest guy in the world is unsatisfying if no one is there to tell you you are awesome. Or, maybe it's that people who answered they are good looking are happier people in general. Since to believe you are good looking, you must have received a social cue, the first answer still makes sense. I guess the trick is, always believe that you are good looking, and people seem to have figured that one out quick. It took me longer.

Well, you may be visually appealing, but you have an ugly heart. I guess your own argument just owned you! Anyway, I think I'm one of those $#!~ for brains men: I think you are ugly. Way to stand up for those ugly people by giving us concrete evidence of your one-time sexual allure.
