Thanks you doctor,

what do u suggest now cos i need it now is very important to i need to get preg my last period is on 11th of june to 15th of june 2009.
pls help me

That's my point about communication. So your number 1 problem is getting pregnant, number 2 abdominal pain, and number 3 candida? If this is correct, I would recommend posting this question on the OB/Gny thread for Dr. Kathy, she's expert on that type of issues. I could give you some assistance, but why try when she could do it even better. Good luck, and remember to communicate better.

Doc, is taping up a joint helpful for healing?  I want to tape my finger, but I'm afraid it might get stiff or something.  I would leave it as it is but the pain is almost too much.

Thanks for the advice I guess.

I don't think the doctor will help me any more than they already have.

Yeah very funny.  Except I'm not pale or white.

Interestingly I've buddy-taped my finger like that before.  It wasn't comfortable at all.  Restricts so much of the normal, regular movements I would usually do with my fingers.  I would do it again.  Problem is, I don't feel that it is effective.

The buddy taping would also not work for the ligs torn on my left thumb.

Yeehow it's whateva.  I'll leave it like that.  Maybe one of these years when I go to Naija I can have it checked out.

Holiday time for me good people. Nigerians as a general rule dont seem to take holidays for some unknown reason. Health advice to all Nairalanders, take a week off at least once every 6 months where all you do is lie by the beach in some hotel and enjoy recreative activities. The life we have is too short to run around non stop.

Hi Doc its been ages Wink

I suffer from killer headaches and it’s so bad I can’t stand light and noise. My TV is turned down all the time, I had to completely reduce the brightness of my PC and TV and it hurts when my phone rings.

I am beginning to think it’s a migraine but I am not too sure. I am practically addicted to pain killers cuz I am popping them all day everyday. Nowadays I squint a lot. Any ideas on how to get rid of this thing,  Does being a smoker have anything to do with it?

Emeritus153, headaches that are sudden or you dont normally get needs proper investigations. As an emergency physician, I always start by doing a CTScan of the head. If that is negative see a neurologist

Kingolaola, as far as dandruff is concerned, proper medicated shampoo usually helps that. High uric acid can lead to uric acid stones in the kidneys. They sometimes don´t show up on xray. You might need a CT KUB. This could also cause gout affecting your joints usually the big toe

Long time NubianQ! Always exclude any other cause for headaches before labelling it migraine. If its something you have always suffered from then see your GP for appropriate medication. Most peoples headaches are from dehydration. We dont drink enough water as a rule

Dont seem to understand what you mean by foaming in your urine, vindylomo!!! As your own physician has seen it and not concerned I would probably leave it there.

Hi my name is frank i'm based in london and i'm asking this question on behalf of my girlfriends elder sister who are both based in nigeria. She had a fybroid operation in which 31 fybroids were removed from her body 3 weeks ago.
Since then she has not been able to eat properly whatever she eats comes out and theres a lot of gas in her body. So she was put on drip since she can't dijest properly.
Her lower abdomen is always paining her and she's always running temperture and always cold. Her condition is getting worse gradually and we fear the worst.
Since she's in Nigeria and Nigerian Doctors and Hospitals are not Western standards is there anything that these Doctors here are missing that you can let me know?
Your advice would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks.  Smiley

manmustwac, your girlfriend´s sister needs to see someone competent! Dr Kathy might be able to shed light on to this. There must have been a perforation in the bowel after surgery or she has adhesions following surgery. Needs more investigations
