FOOTY billionaire Roman Abramovich spent more than £28,000 on LUNCH, according to a restaurant owner.
The Chelsea chief is said to have treated nine guests to white truffles, filet mignon and pasta washed down with £3,049 magnums of Cristal rose champagne at Nello's in New York on Friday. A copy of the bill, which totalled a whopping £28,783, included an automatic tip of 20 per cent.
And Mr Abramovich apparently added another six per cent.
Owner Nello Balan claimed: "Mr Abramovich is a man of great wealth and very good taste." But last night a spokesman for Mr Abramovich, 43, said to be worth £7 billion, said: "I can categorically deny that the bill belonged to Mr Abramovich.
"He did have lunch there but his bill was a fraction of that bill - less then two per cent."
