What Have Your Country Done For You?
« on: November 04, 2009, 05:13 PM »

At times I wonder what makes Nigerians say blabs about there country the way they do, after thinking about it i discovered that many Nigerians are yet to benefit from our God given democracy either from what it 'upholds of beholds', but critically speaking i have nothing to show for it but my handset (thanks to OBJ)
From this analysis below, state the area you have benefited from:
1. Security
2. Education
3. Health
4. Sports
5. politics
6. International relations
7. Transportation
8. Agriculture

I dont understand what this thread is about, but the truth is we need to curb all the country bashing threads.

The country is U and I . Bad leadership we all say, but leaders are picked from amongst the people. followership is a problem for us in the country too.

Well if you care to know I enjoyed free education from primary sch  to university. Na government do am.

Development is a collective effort. The people must be ready to assist/cooperate with the leadership at every level.

Some of us find it difficult to obey just traffic lights but will easily criticise government.

Cool good for you, you benefited from govt a lil, but have you ever wondered why patriotic Nigerians are hard to find? this is because the govt has never bn there for them. Aside infrastructures (which is scarce), the policies made by govt had never in any way affected the common man but its negativities are always prevailing.

This statement was referred to Americans,,,and J.F. was an American leader and President that can not be compared with any Nigerian leader or politician.Moreso Nigeria is not a country that U should be asking her citizens questions like this,,,Nigeria as it is ,,,is not yet a country or a Nation. We re yet to define what kind of a nation or counrty we are.
Ofcourse I will ask my country so many things she can do for me especially in areas that my country must provide for me,,,,My country must provide me 24hrs uninterrupted power supply. It must provide all infrastrutures that would inspire me to stop asking whe my counrty can do for,,,,I will stop asking what my country can do for me when my country give reasons to stop asking such questions,,,
