It was only a matter of time considering there have been outbreaks in most parts of the world. Swine flu can be managed with the right treatment. It only becomes deadly or life threatening if one has certain underlying serious medical or health conditions. The government had better start stocking up on Tamiflu and taking cues from other countries on how to manage any pandemic.

Hello fellow nairalanders I think is high time we get t understand that D white fork’s has being using their trick on us…. This swine flue was being inverted by the white fork the scientists know what they have done so let the white fork also face the d problem their self……As for we the black our immune system is as strong and resist able as that of angel Michel and angel Gabriel…… At first they say it was first record in Mexico not knowing the WHO was lying to the entire world…. It was latter review it all started in a cattle farm in Canada………. No shaken for those of US who believe Jesus is alive…. We have pass through such stress long ago Blood of Jesus cover us. Amen

I work in a 26 bed intensive care unit and 16 of our patients have comfirmed H1N1 virus and all of them are on the ventilator. We actually dug up a few ventilators that was used years ago because the hospital is running out of ventilators. If this thing should hit Ngeria, lots and lots of people will be killed. Nigeria's health care system will in no way be able to handle the swine flu. People on ventilators here still have poor prognosis let alone someone in Nigeria that has no access to basic tamiflu. I just hope and pray we keep this swine flu on the othe side of the world unless our african brothers will perish. Hopefully, there will be enough H1N1 vaccines to go around. lord have mercy.

That has not been the case. yes, there are high risk groups like u have mentioned but i have taken care of young adults with absolutely no medical history that have come down with this H1N1. all of them ended up intubated and on a ventilator. Tamiflu should be made avaiblable to anyone having flu like symptoms but it shouldnt be abused because there is a shortage of the medication at the moment.

Its just like any moderate flu. The only cause for concern is if the infected person has an underlying medical condition. e.g Cystic Fibrosis, HIV etc

Don't panic guys, it's season will soon pass.I'm presently in the UK and the rate at which it is spreading here is high but I'm not scared a bit. I thought I was the only one with that thinking, Where is the Bird Flu of yesterday?, How about the SARS? My fellow Nigerians we are too Rooted to be uprooted by some kind of REBRANDED DISEASES Names. Trust me these diseases have been around us way b4 now, the white man is weak when it comes to Immunity, they catch these illnesses, rebrand the names and make it look SCAAAARY!!. Now come to think of it, the mother had mild symptoms but recovered; the other children where the little infested Baby schools, not infected. Now, should we be bothered by what has been here from time immemorial? Nigerians, this is just a distraction from the major problems we have on ground, it will die a natural death like the SARS and BIRD FLU. NOTHING DEY HAPPEN
