Is The Christmas Worth Been Merry?
« on: January 06, 2007, 04:27 PM »

I have been wondering why people always say this words during Christmas.

Merry Christmas"

I hear people repeats these words always and I decide to go out someday to see the way people survive in our world. So I saw series of people, like the guys at the Apapa Port who are stealing raw materials due to poverty which are imported from the foreign country; so also are the conductors who swims in curses due to cheating passengers or misbehaving. Not to forget the people we say are protecting us Like the Baba Black and Uncle Green the way they tend to collect money from drivers saying the government is not paying attention to them.

Or the blind man who has been hungry for long and yet couldn't get a coin to get an ordinary water. So on my way back home I saw a Security Guard who has been working for his boss for the past 10yrs and he is still been paid 5000, and if he decides to resign there is no other opportunity.  I said Merry Christmas"; and surprisingly the guys still answered, then crowned it with a Happy New Year.

This made me wondered that with all these people suffering "Is the Christmas worth been Merry"?

What do you think?
