We women know that (real good) men are scarce. I met this guy who is a very good man, good qualities, education, job but what he lacks is fashion. I mean, his dressing is just too plain, and I'm not talking of gucci shoes, versace belt, not at all but at least have some style. How would or should one go about this?

@Glitt3rz How about you buy some stylish stuff for him. Politely tell him, you would like him to wear more of stuff like this.
His reaction to this would let you know if you are doomed to be with a fashion-less guy or if there is hope for improvement.

By telling him. . .e.g i don't do pink shirts
You can gradually introduce him to certain styles. . . like buy him a piece you like and know will look good on him. Try to persuade him to try it out once, if he doesn't like it. . .you can try some other piece.

He's not a boyfriend yet just someone that happens to admire me and has very good qualities but the fashion sense is obstructing.

But that's me losing a potential real good man. @Glitt3rz How about you buy some stylish stuff for him. Politely tell him, you would like him to wear more of stuff like this.

Ok he's not a boyfriend so the buying stuff doesn't come in yet. Just prod and see how what fashion he likes, his attitude and thoughts towards come fashions. Try telling him about they kind of looks you like etc. If he doesn't like your fashion sense. . .then sorry ooo lol

as long as his personal hygiene is good , overlook it . How many shirts are you going to buy for him??? unless you have an extreme makeover kind of budget. The most important thing is he is a good guy , it will be worse if he looked GQ and is the devil incarnate
at the most offer to go shopping with him and help him choose clothes , that way the light bulb goes of and he is able to self correct.

you could be subtle about it. just like writing long-term goals, u strategise over a period of time how to implement the 'make-over'. doesnt have to be all paid for by you. not even up to 40%. . . . the mind is an extremely powerful tool.

Buy him what you would like in in, however, make sure it is a color that he will like, else, you just wasted your money

Na his fashion be your problem? only his fashion - and that is a show stopper for you
Do you realise that if you marry the guy - he automatically looks towards you for fashion tips ,
no dump guy over fashion - cheating, whoring, binging yes but not fashion!!

good luck!!!!! i had the same problem with one of my exe's, i even told him about it. we would go shopping for him but he would end up getting nothing for himself. he dressed white, u know walmart kinda clothes that looked like they were made in the 80's. anyway after sometime, i just got tired of having to hide him from my friends. he was so embarrassing. so i dropped him.

Some guys are just like that. A friend of mine::: I told him several times to change his fashion sense, abuse him, encourage him, tried my best to improve his fashion style but still yet he dresses like papas @Poster You can't just change him, maybe gradually but they naturally doesn't give a damn about fashion, they don't care about it. It's just their way, i have seen several guys with low fashion sense

Since he is not why does it bother u? If u are thinkin of dating him den I suggest u make up your mind based on his other redeeming qualities and quit stringing him along.

So fashion is his only vice? well thats better than those lying, cheating goons polluting the cities . Girl go ahead and make it official and gradually take him shopping.
