Police arrest 21-year-old for killing cousin

The police in Lagos State have arrested a 21-year-old boy, who allegedly killed his cousin over a pot of beans, while another suspect who stabbed someone to death has also been arrested.
http://odili.net/news/source/2009/nov/6/607.htmlThe suspect, Mojeed Abiodun, had, on Wednesday, stabbed his 25-year-old cousin, identified as Olaoluwa Fadipe, to death in an argument that ensued on who should warm a pot of beans .
The deceased and the suspect were staying with their grandmother and the suspect’s parents at 47 Barkinson Street, in Ikotun area of the state. Mojeed, who was paraded on Thursday, before newsmen by the Public Relations Officer in charge of the state police command, Mr. Frank Mba, had accused his late cousin of being troublesome.
Mojeed claimed that the deceased was injured during a struggle by the two of them to take possession of a knife which he was holding. In a similar incident, an undergraduate of the University of Lagos, Lanade Abayomi Stephen, was also arrested, on Tuesday, for stabbing one Ikanga Onyema to death in Bariga area of the state.
