Mariners Ordeal

Every year in Nigeria, Hundreds of sailors find theirselves abandon by the ship owners. Working for months without salary and yet when you complain the sack you through text messages. U can be sign on and off at any time. Apart from your take home,no allowances,no benefits. All this happen because we dont have a regulatory agency that can streamline the welfare of crew onboard. NIMASA is just a big name. The goverment never care about the salary structure,  Many of us die in the hands of militant and pirates and nothing is done about it. Approx 2000 sailors died in W/africa coast btw 2007 til date. Enough to call it j genocide at sea. So what do we do or do we run to? Let Nigeria have a say on this
