dont you reason at all. In this verse Allah is not describing the shape of the earth. He is describing the perception. Replace the wod carpet with 'sphere' and see if it makes sense to you. "laid out the earth as a SPHERE for you. You have challanged me to provide the verse where Allah describes the shape of the earth.
