What's The True Cost Of Lifetime Beauty Care? by jaybee3(m): 11:06am On Nov 11, 2009
I was talking to a friend of mine today and discovered she spends approximately £1200 annually on just her hair alone. Going by this figure i did a rough calculation and was astonished to find out that in her adult life she had be spending an approximate £60K on hair alone which in most cases will be more than enough to build a mansion in her village.

I suppose my grievance is why waste so much money on hair or looking good when you'd still come back complaining your man is not looking at you alone?

PS. I am not against looking good but i frown at it when it's excessive. Being natural always win with me hands down.

Their is a beauty breakdown at this site if anyone of y'all wants to see the disturbing figures.

The figures seem slightly exaggerated.
still disturbing though shocked

Hmm,never really spent much on my hair. My mum used to
do my hair for me when I had my hair long. To maintain my
low cut doesn't even cost up to £40. Not many people can go about
with their natural hair which is the reason y they spend about £50 to £60 to
have their hair done. For my face, not much is spent. For my skin, i use a very simple body cream which is
cocoa butter mixed with olive oil. cheesy

@ Jay bee
please , let go of this game but i hate it when girls wear too much makeup. makeup makes them look fake and hides the real beauty.

Re: What's The True Cost Of Lifetime Beauty Care? by 700john: 4:16pm On Nov 11, 2009
People may not know it but they are unintentionally exposing themselves to danger by using harmful chemicals in their ordinary day-to-day activities. Find out what these chemicals are and how they can cause harm. You may not even realize you are being exposed to chemicals that could be potentially harmful, ones that can make you sick, and others that have been linked to various diseases. But, how do you minimize your risk, especially when you can't even see or smell the toxins?

please check up for me, the causes of the following diseases like cancer, asthma, birth defects and learning disabilities that are definitely on the rise, there is a lot of concern that it is being caused by everyday products.

In fact, this whole thing is an absolute crap!

ask me why?
Re: What's The True Cost Of Lifetime Beauty Care? by Nezan(m): 4:17pm On Nov 11, 2009

Re: What's The True Cost Of Lifetime Beauty Care? by Shola2009(m): 4:31pm On Nov 11, 2009
You might be right.
But i feel he was just stating a fact, and it's no cause for alarm or any gender war.

Make-up? Wish i had energy. . .if i manage powder, clap for me cheesy

Re: What's The True Cost Of Lifetime Beauty Care? by vanitty: 7:17pm On Nov 11, 2009
£1200 for hair annually is very belivable. With the rise of brazillian and human hair lace front nowadays
Brazillian hair - around £90, u need 2 - 3
lace front = £250 or more
It is all about you, if you have the money and it makes u happy, good luck to you i say

Iice: This your regimen is very "less concern" o. grin

I think we all spend quite a bit on hair and all that stuff. I weak when folks spend $1500 on Brazilian or all those high end weaves. It beats me! Looking and smelling good is standard. That is the reason why we work hard so that you can look presentable. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Of course there are folks out there that go over board with everything. In this case they are the exception.
Re: What's The True Cost Of Lifetime Beauty Care? by Nobody: 10:14pm On Nov 11, 2009

LOL yes, very less concern. I like to be able to roll out of bed, take a shower, throw on clothes and shoes and walk out the door sharply grin Sometimes i promise myself i will make an effort to use the make up that i have lying around decorating my dressing table, but i forget and it's like middle of the day that i remember grin

I no fit ooo for the weave. I have many uses for that kind of money grin
Re: What's The True Cost Of Lifetime Beauty Care? by Nobody: 3:02pm On Nov 12, 2009
If you gloat over celebrities you have no right to tell a woman what she does is in excess. tongue
Re: What's The True Cost Of Lifetime Beauty Care? by Nobody: 7:23pm On Nov 12, 2009
Yes, Beyonce, Megan Fox and your favorite sultry celebrity probably spends 6 figures on looking good but I dont see you all complaining but if its average Shaniqua's like us you complain. I believe there is no pleasing men why dont you just lust after the fake images of celebrities/Play for the other team and leave us real women alone grin
Re: What's The True Cost Of Lifetime Beauty Care? by madlady(f): 8:11pm On Nov 12, 2009
@Poster   I would not spend that kind of money on make-up or hair care, but i would defiantly  spend that on a Hermes bag, if I had the money to spare.
Would you spend that kind of money on the upkeep of your car, if yes then it's each to his/her own.
Re: What's The True Cost Of Lifetime Beauty Care? by jaybee3(m): 8:15pm On Nov 12, 2009
car is an asset which can be disposed off at anytime
Re: What's The True Cost Of Lifetime Beauty Care? by madlady(f): 11:27pm On Nov 12, 2009
@Poster  A women's appearance and happiness should also be regarded as assets, to both her and her husband.

True that and we def can't put a price on it as it's priceless. i think you are still missing ma point though, i am not saying don't go extra extra length to look beautiful if you can afford it but i am talking about those girls that simply can't afford to spend that much but still insist on spending fortunes to look good.
celebs can afford it so they don't count and can spend however much money they have on looking good. It's their job and they are public profiles.
Regular chicks that can't afford it should not be expecting a b/f to fund such excess.

so i guess now the topic has change to chicks that depend on their boyfriend, not every lady depend on boyfriends, some of us make our own money and i think majority of women these days do , so we dont depend on some boyfriend, what about single chick, which boyfriend are they depending on

the point is there is no pleasing men, ya'll will always look for a reason not to appreciate us women
Re: What's The True Cost Of Lifetime Beauty Care? by jaybee3(m): 7:47am On Nov 14, 2009
@lovemoi2
why do you keep skipping ma key points?
Quote "Regular chicks that can't afford it should not be expecting a b/f to fund such excess"
excess in the sense of 60 quid every 2 weeks.
If a girl can afford it then why not but we both know most average girls can't afford to spend 120 quid a month on hair alone
