I tried it with my phone without installing the pc suite software and it really works but it is very slow so adewale which connection speed do u suggest i use 9.6kbps or 11.5kbps or sumtin else,please wale i will need a quick reply.thanks

For example, if i want to visit google search engine. If i type www.google.com in the internet explorer address bar and click go, it will later display this message: "Unable to connect to server www.google.com(Winsock Error 10060--216.239.59.147.80)" Please Naira Land Gurus what should i do next or assist me insolving this problem, this is my mobile numbers 08057323912, 08023422025 please contact me as soon as possible thanks. |

Hi guys can someone gist me on what's happening, I have configured my pc to with Celtel line. The connection is fine and ok. But the problem is that a page won't just open and it always says server not found or dns error. I tried it with mtn and it browse. Any germane hints will be appreciated. Thanks

Correct the ppp link error by changing your modem field in your phone. That is the access point name-apn to wap.ng.celtel.com To do that, go to settings-configuration/connectivity-gprs-modem settings-then access point name. You can also correct that on DNS from your pc. Right click on your dial-up connection-networking-tcp/ip and click properties. From there, you can mark or unmark the ppp link. But try that of phone modem settings first. Please I need someone to look into my question too. Thanks

please, can anyone explain step by step how i can browse with celtel on my PC. I've connected phone and PC via bluetooth but i don't know how to connect it to the net with my celtel line.

i've tried that shit. It just doesn't work. When i connect via bluetooth, the PC/phone connectivity automatically creates a Bluetooth DUN connection. Everything is in order- the *99#1 thingy, when i want to connect online at times, it stalls, doesn't go. Any tips?

have u checked d CONNECTION under your internet options? open a web page, go 2 d internet options and edit the settings there.
I realy can't identify your probem cos av never used bluetooth

Data Comm.
Data accounts
New Account
Select GPRS data
Name: Internet Gprs or your name (Kulikuli)
Select continue
APN: internet.ng.celtel.com
username: internet (boxer, jameel, castrol)
pwd: blank
save
exit
go back to connectivity
Internet settings
Internet Profiles
New profile
Name: Skunk or whatever u want to call it
Move to connect using:
Select the new profile u created
And that should solve it
Go and launch your browser.

Thanks Mustay, i've finally connected. But there's a problem, kinda. It's soooo slow and pages either don't load or don't completely load. I had initially set the homepage to google.com, tried going there all to no avail. Tried other sites - gave me the "pages cannot be fully loaded" bla bla. Pls what can i do?
PS: it like Celtel's wap/internet connection has been terrible for lyk a month, pretty erratic. Always giving me the "Connection not available" BS. Are u experiencing the same?
