Ahhh. . . London is not the place to go for cheap accomodation o. The cheapest you'll find, especially around City would be about £80 - £85. And this is very basic.
I can suggest something to you. You might be able to find a group of people who have rented a house but have a spare room/lounge for rent. Some actually have just their living room couch for rent (in extremely desperate cases - Yes this is what London has now become) . . . It is called CouchSurfing/SofaSurfing but it's a temporary thing. . . You could get couches for as low as £10.00 a week and usually they want you to do small "houseboy" for them. You will get all sorts of accomodation on this London Classifieds site : http://www.gumtree.com/london/2547_1.html
On Gumtree, you'll find quite cheap rooms for as low as £80 I believe. Just do your search correctly and find out what sort of people live in the houses as well. . .
