During the early 80's in the Philippines, so called "pene films" or (penetration films) became famous.  There were actual penetration scenes by actors.  Movies such as "Scorpion Nights" starring Anna Marie Guiterrez was so famous that they made a remake early 2000. But the remake had no actual sex anymore. The film's director had numerous awards and recognitions.  Other penetration films featured actresses as young as 14 to 17.  Lala Montelibano was famous for being so underage. One famous beauty queen who became one of those "pene" actresses is Maria Isabel Lopez.  These actresses never got a good career after their make. Most of them went into seclusion today.

Some french and Italian films also have actual sex.

of COURSE they don't really have sex in mainstream films!

if you've ever been on a film set, or had any idea of what it's like when shooting a scene, or even have any knowledge of the porno film industry, this would be obvious to you.

first of all, as has already been mentioned, when shooting a love scene, there are so many crew people hanging around, it's almost impossible for anybody to have actual sex under those conditions.

furthermore, while the scene looks fluid and smooth to you when you watch the final version, in actuality the camera has to be stopped and repositioned every few minutes, the lights need to be reset,  the entire process can take hours. obviously not a very romantic situation.

and then, if you know anything about the porn world, you know that having sex on camera is in general not a very easy thing to do. have you ever wondered why new girls seem to come into the porn industry everyday, seemingly getting younger and younger, and by the time they're in their mid to late 20s they are considered old and tossed away? meanwhile the same men remain in porn for more than 20 years with very few new ones coming in to replace them?

it's because having sex on film is a specialized skill that very few men possess.  it's been estimated that maybe less than 10% of men would ever be able to do it.

(and no, i don't mean that nonsense of making a sex tape with your phone camera,  i mean doing it under professional or even semi-professional conditions with the lights, the multiple takes, the stopping and starting and the need to "finish" on cue)

now, the introduction of Viagra has made it a lot easier for more men to enter the industry, but even then most of them still can't perform like the veterans from the 1970s and 80s! (and on top of that, many of them suffer,  problems offscreen)

so,  what are the chances that all or even most of the sex scenes you watch in mainstream movies feature actors who are part of that <10%?

in the 1970s there were some American movies that featured  real sex, or were rumored to,  but these days? fugghedaboutit! a movie like Shortbus featured real sex, yes,  and it was quite controversial because of that.

but think about it: would Shortbus have been controversial if real sex in films were commonplace?

This looks pretty real to me.  By the way in 1973 the film association of america stated that the just could not show penetration. SEX IS LEGIT!

The answer would be yes and no. Its all depends on what type of movies you talk about Mainstream hollywood movies do not feature any real sex scenes. The actors there are only paid to act, and sex scenes are definetly not real. Even the x-rated and softcore movies do not have real sex involved. Only xx and xxx rated movies show real sex scenes in it, particulary the so called gonzo styled videos, which often do not have any script and involve pure sexual acts. The xx rated are usually shown on cable tv and do have a certain story line, however certain body parts can not be shown, but these movies do as well involve real sex, but for cable channels, they just cut certain parts of the movies, making it xx-rated, but full versions are usually availble on dvds or internet. Thats all.

Definitely not on the set of the movie and, considering Bill's age and physique, not off the set either.
