« #2 on: December 11, 2005, 07:44 PM »

It has just been confirmed that My role Model and almost all youth's and single's Favorite Pastor Bimbo Odukoya is Dead! Oh NO, this is a Dissaster, Whats happening to this country called Nigeria.  Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

Pastor Bimbo Odukoya, wife of the founder of Fountain of Life Church, Lagos, was last night feared to be among the 103 passengers that perished in the Sosoliso flight that crash-landed yesterday at the Port Harcourt International Airport.
Attempts to reach her husband were unsuccessful last night. However, another person that picked a call made to his cell phone said that the man of God could not be reached immediately because "he was busy."

Asked specifically to confirm if Mrs Odukoya was on board the ill-fated flight, the respondent said: "We don’t have any information in that regard."
Indeed, less than two months after the crash of Bellview Airline 210 aircraft in Lisa, Ogun State, killing all 117 persons on board, the country’s aviation industry was again hit by another tragic incident as a Sosoliso Boeing 727 passenger plane crashed on landing in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Carrying 110 people on board, including crew members, the airline, with registration number 5N-BFD, which was heading from Abuja to Port Harcourt crash landed and burst into flames 1,200 meters to the threshold of the Port Harcourt runway 21 at about 2:08pm.

The crash was reportedly caused by thunderstorms.
According to the Permenent Secretary, Ministry of Aviation, Tony Oyelade of the 103 passengers, 75 of the victims were students of Loyola Jesuit College, Abuja who were returning on holiday.
The Minister of Information, Mr Frank Nweke Jr. also confirmed the figure on NTA network news last night.

We must stop the attitude of thinking that we can avert incidents like this by our own will power. Just about 4 days ago a plane did crash into an adjourning street of a Chicago airport. Report did confirmed that the plane underwent maintenaince not more than 4 days to the crash day. Does that mean that they don't maintain their stuffs.

Things like this are beyond human comprehension, we can only pray to God to save us from situations like this.

Safety is only in God's hand.

            by Joftech

Yeah prayers help, but that does not cover the fact that we need to overhaul the way our aviation industry is run. IN THE UNITED STATES, THERE ARE MORE THAN 35,000 FLIGHTS DAILY. I mean DAILY. but how many flight crashes do we hear about?
Also steps are taken to prevent two aircrafts from crashing for the same reason. All flights are mandatorily mainted to an established standard.

As humans we have to do our own part and then we can pray for mercy. You cannot have a 35yr old plane that is rumbling in the air and then start praying.

This is really a sad day 4 nigeria and especially the families involved.

Whether true or not, I can't tell.
But it's in the news of Sun newspaper.

This is a big loss to the whole world especially to Christendom.
We'll miss you Pastor Odukoya (Mrs)
You were a role model.
Your messages on youths and singles will be missed.

We love you but Jesus loves you more.
Rest in the bosom of the Lord.
We will see again in heaven someday.
I believe in resurrection of the saints.
Adieu! Pastor Bimbo Odukoya!

why can't we Nigerians be optimistic instead of being pessimistic, it has not yet been confirmed shes dead what we are expected to do is to just pray, our mind works in a way in which sometimes what u think or imagine will come to pass, it happens sometimes your mind or what u imagine happens, so please don't let us be negative minded lets wait til its confirmed, but its well in Jesus name. It has been solidly confirmed that Bimbo Odukoya is dead. On NTA news and from numerous members of the church congregation (of whom I am aquainted with). Let us not continue to give ourselves false hope and face what comes at us. May God give us all strength. Amen.
