And the same Ibos are the ones crying out against injustices against the FG of Nigeria, dredging out old wounds of the civil war that was started by their own 'brother', Ojukwu. Yet, they keep perpetuating/subjecting their own people to this ancient accursed practise that has continued to divided family lines and caused angst and sorrows to its victims. What does the future generation hold for Nigerians? For me, I know, there is no hope whatsoever. Never put your hope on the son of man, because you will be disappointed.

STFU and it's Igbo not Ibo. What a dumbassHas any Igbo come to your face to complain?. . .Keep fooling yourself, you wish you had someone to complain to you.

This thread breaks my heart but come to think of it, it only proves my theory that Africans especially Nigerians are Bloody Lying Hypocrites,on this forum many would pour scorn on other races being racist for refusing to accept black people as equals but back in their villages they treat fellow clansmen and clanswomen worse.

I had an Ibo friend he is from Mbaise, who told me all I need to know about "OSU",though he is educated, enlightened,a partner in a UK law firm and a partime pastor he told me he would never let his two daughters marry an osu,he would rather accept "Dada" aka weed smoking Rasta.His logic is that his daughters can always convert the Rasta but the "Osu" will always remain Osu.

The irony is this man would organize walks,marches to highlight the problems of Racism.

@All Born Again Ibos.and Ibos

How do you in all honesty treat "Osu's" in your communities,would you refuse food,medical help,holy communion,or receive deliverance,accept prayer section from an outcast aka osu
I'm curious are they well known "Oso's" in Nigeria i.e Footballers,Politicians,Actors,Musicians etc

@All Nigerians,

This kind of shitt happens in all our villages,discrimination over ridiculous things,asking women to drink bath water from a corpse to prove she didn't kill her husband and if she refuses,she is treated like a leper and shitt like that.

I think OSU and whatever names they are called need special protection by the Nigerian Constitution and protection by As Special Indigeneuous people by the United Nations.

this osu thingy is very deep and complex. and we igbos are guilty of intra racial discrimination. a structural social injustice that humiliates our own blood brothers. but non-igbos should not outrightly attack igbos for this. we hate it, but who will stop it? i can love an osu, but marry her Undecided if i'm living in europe . . . na wahala. but to marry an osu and live in igboland Undecided na wahala o, your family will reject you, your childrenn will suffer stigmatisation and u'll hate yourself. you may love your girl, but do you want to be enstranged from your family?

i've said things like this before   http://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-17201.0.html
