Whats so cute about group picture with logo by the side? I will give you 'e' for effort. Next time try to be creative. A billboard is supposed to:

  • appeal to an observer
  • provoke/invoke reaction/action

Re: Billboard For Schools

Gamine:
You need to be more creative, Despite the fact that this is your first project.
I just see this your b/board design like what a basic Corel Draw apprentice in a roadside computer center does in his practice work,

What the heck you saying? Whats the point of posting the image if you can't handle a little criticism. A good (nah, cute) art work provokes reaction. Thats what attract people to look which, by the way, is the reason you need a billboard in the first place. Your billboard looks bland from where i stand. There is no message and who are your audience?

@ Saddam, Ynot

Guys your criticisms are too harsh. Its suppose to be constructive and help the person improve and not make the person feel like they've done nothing.

@ Saddam,

Do you mind posting some of your Gulder and  Guinness brands.

Nice REAL job there Gamine.

Yeah a little bit of criticism is healthy to self, talent & career development so always look on the bright side of the seemingly shady remarks. I hope to get my chance to do something to take graphics to a whole new level.

Here, check this out,

Someone remind me 'bout that sayin which involves empty vessels,

Gamine job well done!
The simplicity works, period.
Lets ask the 'educators' in Saddam & YNOT 2 post images/work they've done too enlighten 'lesser' designers

Nice heads up Stannesi,  I think that's the idea (To get noticed by the mobile phone company). Ever heard of anyone being sued by a company for purchasing one of their products???

I think that little bit of your comment is "WHACK"

When having fun, please don't start what you can't finish. the concept is original: it's not for nollywood it is for a stageMovie on campus, and the publicity was to show the african side of the movie while still making it look like something from the west(if u know what i mean).

Be that as it may, heres a larger view and another one  i completed recently, cheers friend. Wink

@Stannesi

You shouldn't be saying any ha ha's or doing any loud-mouthing on this forum because I don't think anyone remembers ever seeing any designs of yours posted up! If you're so dying to be heard o noticed, i suggest you take some lessons in graphics (no matter how simple) and attempt to piece something together.

Take my honest advise bro, it'll do you a lot of good in your dim narrow-minded future!

For other Graphics gurus like gdi, good job! Also, check this out!

Cheers

Kemji good piece
there is one however,
The image of the lass is overpowered by the strong text beside her
she looks blurred, out of focus, choose your poison,
if the text was toned down, a little GBlur in photoshop a great balance will be achieved.
Outside of that well down, more grease to ya elbows, oh work the bottom reflection a bit more

Enjoy

Gamine i will  say congrats. u are just starting and you have a job on a large bill board from your own school and graduating class. Anyone in this line will know it is an uphill task to design with such balance, creativity and finish not loosing simplicity.
I guess u did not post this bill board to compete with anyone. It is just an expression of your own art.
You are destined for a great height. Accept the criticisms from other posters, it is expected to make you stonger and better. Never relent in your effort, and u will see that the quality of your life will improve greatly.
Once again i will say nice job. I love the balance with colors. Good blend
