Let us just say the truth, there is more entertainment at Oshodi Bus Stop in Lagos than watching Nigerian Reality TV Shows.
Personally I don't like copycats and the Nigerian versions are just bad copies. So, I prefer to go to Oshodi Bus Stop and watch the most entertaining realities of Nigerian life live than watching the parodies of American and British Reality Shows on Nigerian TV.
Most of the top Nigerian entertainers did not win any TV Reality Show. Tu Face was not on Project Fame that was stage-managed in Nigeria to favour the Nigerians who represented us. The Nigerian babe suddenly disappeared after she was evicted. What? She suddenly lost her singing voice? Did she have any in the first place? Dare Art Alade would still have made it without Project Fame. Some of the people I saw on that show were not better than croaking frogs.
While you are busy day dreaming watching the fool's paradise called Reality TV Shows, the real reality show is going on on the streets of Lagos and creeks of the Niger Delta.
Personally, I want Nigeria to explode like the last pipeline explosion, so that Nigerians will face their realities instead of fooling themselves in useless distractions on TV.
We know how to copy and pretend to be catching up with the latest trends in America and the UK, but while they are advancing at the speed of light, we are still groping in the darkness of underdevelopment. Apes of Western circus masters.
Please, join me at Oshodi Bus Stop. Or better still meet me at Eleme Waterside.

Pastor Orikinla, preach it. Can you tell us how you would design your own reality show?

Orikinla ~ I can't agree with you more. The effective way of controlling the populace, while the looters are busy siphoning our money abroad, is through entertainment and religion ~ that is the opiate.
The Preachers/Pastors and Imam are living in opulence while the congregation is starving. The looters and the religious leaders are working hand in hand ~ The looters contribute most to the coffer, while the religious leaders pacify the ignorant populace. ~ Don't stand for your rights, because one man-made god will reward you after death with a ticket to heaven, for being stupidly ignorant. Suffering and Smiling.
When Oyinbo sneezes, my people must cough. They want to be more English that an Englishman. And more American than the Americans. That tells you the difference between Asians and Naija. Asians 'll not let you corrupt their culture. Their children are very fluent in their mother tongue. They only care about English Language when they 're penetrating your markets with their goods.
Just reading some of the posts on this forum 'll give someone a snapshot of the mindset of my generation, which is the microcosm of the Naija nation.

@ orikinla u dey everly talk correct.
The "secret" to success lies in pushing what u love doing to the end whether platform dey or not. Dare had a reality tv platform and he's doing fine today. Tu face and D banj didn't have that platform and they're even doing better.
i love the way these famous musicians, actors and the tennis stars dump all else for their dreams.
Not many of us do that, can that be why we are not all as successful?
