Alade Market Gutted By Fire

The popular Alade market situated on Alllen Avenue
yesterday night about 11pm was guuted by fire
destroying valueables, textile materials and other
goods worth millions of naira. Though the cause of the
fire as at now is not known, residents think the
electric power which was restored after an outage
which had been experienced in the market all day was
the likely cause of the fire. It took a combined team
of the anti-robbery police men attached to Allen
Avenue Junction, men of the State fire service and
residents to put out the fire which a razed a section
of the market.
