My Very First Trip To Nigeria In April. . . .
« on: February 06, 2007, 03:33 PM »

I'm traveling w/ my mom in the southwest region in April to meet family and friends. Where are the tourist attractions? Where in Lagos can I have a good time? I would be residing in Ibadan (sp?) and would need to get out perhaps, are there any hot spots in the Ibadan area?

What should I look out for?

where in Ibadan will you be?

I lived in New Bodija.

Ibadan is pretty quiet, it's for sensible thinking people unlike Lagos  Tongue

Ibadan is cool especially seeing the landscape with the classic rooftops. I don't know anything else about the place.
I grew up in Lagos though so I know some about lagos. It's awesome.

I have no clue about tourist attractions in lagos. They're usually zoos because that's what most foreigners expect to see (animals and some more african animals). or maybe i'm wrong.

I don't speak, nor can speak it fluently or as efficient. I understand it like the back of my hand, though.

Just recently, my mom mailed me a brochure of Yoruba words, mostly prepositions to learn.

well understanding is key.

Ibadan is cool for chilling out and walking around and just talking at KoKoDome or something

if you go to Lagos be sure to visit VI and Leki Penisula

Yoruba is a tonal language, so it can get real complicated.
