I do, very much indeed. I have always believed that the military remains one of the most disciplined /organized societies u can have around. with the re-proffessinalisation of the armed forces in nigeria, it makes it even better. However, the politicization of the whole thing remains a source of worry to people who do have gunuine intentions to serve and not 4 frivolous reasons such as 'wearing the uniform'. so, where does this lead to if i may ask?

 Is this recruitment for short service combatants or regulars ?

 I have tried both  as a regular combatant, passed the state screening and training and all sort, getting to Zaria, a Bad belly , a kill joy Major still from a nearby state of mine messed up some of us for no just cause.

I have tried the Short service, that one is Man know man, so if u think u can help out, am ever ready.

Okay guys i will let you know immediately the short service forms are out. Bet it. But why is everybody interested in short service , not regular combatants for 4 years. Hmmmm i can guess age right! whatever, as long as you got good grades, do well in the exams,  physical and medical tests, and with some prayer , you should be in. The army is looking for candidates with various disciplines,  and you all got a chance.

MY dad is a Maj Gen in the army, my husband was just promoted to a Major in Sept. I can tell u 4 one that it's a respectful job, but depending on your goals, dreams and achievements in life, joini the nigerian armed forces can be frustratin.
I would personally advise u 2 look elsewhere4 a job cos there are lots of disadvantages of joinin the military which u'll never know about until u are in d system. The armed forces is an employment system i would not want a loved one involved.
but then, it's your choice

Hey guys you have all talked well. First and foremost , i am not an OC recruitment. I am in the Armed forces. Its a nice place where you learn a lot about your self. It is an employment with a drive for the future. It has grave, medium and little hazards, and also very joyous, self accomplishing and great times.

Why do some prefer Navy to Army and Airforce. Anyway, its good. If Age is on your sid , its preferable you go for Short Service, but if not,  regular service is better. It could be by direct regular for graduates or regular for young high sch graduates.

On when the forms come out, i am presently out of the country myself now, so i cant exactly say when it comes out but i would wish you all pay attention to the papers and be in touch with your LG and State Sec to let you know when they are out.

Also, terms and requirements differ for each service, do you want to be an officer, a soldier, a short service officer, a direct regular officer or a regular combatant officer, which corp or field would you prefer? thats what we all need to consider ,  then i would answer all slowly and quietly. Any info i get, i will get it all out imm.

Yes, i know that joining the regular combatant service will require you to be between 18 and 22. But for other services it will vary. anyway the age limits are on the forms as you collect them. Dont fake your age pls,  a joke,  many do!
