in the process of booting my system it display cmos settings wrong ,press f1 to run set up press f2 to load default values ,which i did,but it not respond,what else can i do?please i need your help.

press F1 and then change the CMOS settings. Check the booting procedure and see if something had changed in the order.

what brand of laptop is this?
DIfferent manufacturers have diffferent bios settings.
You may have to do as instructed on the screen.
Check the
Power Settings System Time Boot Proceedure (Hard drive, Floppy Drive, CD, Ethernet as mention from the previous posts) System Password
and just look around.
Or
If u can remove the cmos battery remove it for a couple of minutes and put back then try restarting
