Naked Passions: Romance Among The Poor, The Rich And Famous In Nigeria
« on: February 16, 2007, 11:27 AM »

I woke up this morning and did my regular devotional praise and worship to the one and only one who gives the breath of life. My first love and my last love. My greatest love. Who alone knows me and understands me perfectly.

Only four copies of my love book were sold this week. I paid the commission of 20% to the distributor my younger brother Frankie and removed the tithe and put the tithe in my Holy Bible.

I attended to many domestic priorities and looked at my work schedule.
I reviewed the conversation I had with Ramsey Nouah last night. And I am now more determined to do my best to let Hollywood realize that Ramsey is worth their attention. I have to tell my friend Veronique in Hollywood to buzz her managers and top directors about our Ramsey Nouah.

My director Faruk said, "If you are good, he will tell the whole world and if you are bad, he will also tell the whole world. So, just be good."
Yes, I am that honest, transparent and straight forward.

I am thinking of Wale who is now happily married to Angela and relocated to London. Angela is a British citizen. And Wale is one of the most physically perfect men I have ever seen. Tall and well built and very handsome that Brad Pitt will look ordinary standing beside him. And he is proudly Nigerian.

My mind flashed back to an unforgettable romantic blackmail some years ago.

I discovered her when she was only 14 and I told her that she would become a successful model. But many people doubted me and made fun of her.
"She looks Ghanaian. Very dark and she is not even beautiful," someone remarked.
But, I ignored all their ignorant comments.
I have never made any mistake in my previous predictions.
But, Ivie was discouraged and she left. And I concentrated on others.
That was when Linda and Helen came into my modeling agency in 1997. Then, I interviewed Princess Adelaide Olagbaju for the cover story of our Affections International magazine and it was the best feature on her in the local and international media.
I met her husband Sammy Olagbaju who is the richest Art Collector in Nigeria and their house in Ikoyi is decorated with some of the most treasured paintings, sculpture and other works in modern Art. Later Princess Olagbaju needed models for the fashion exhibition of her creation Kente-Oke and I recommended my models. But, her manager Pratt did not choose any of my models. And I was not bothered. I kept on encouraging my models.

I received invitation to represent Affectrions International at an international conference in Switzerland. But I was not interested. And my publisher wanted to sell the letter of invitation to desperate Nigerians who wanted to leave Nigeria. But, when the embassy of Switzerland saw that I did not approve it, they were not given the visa. The publisher turned against me.  So, I resigned and Affections International collapsed.

I met Ivie again and she was now confident of her looks. So, I introduced her to Modela and he registered her as a model and Ivie was soon on his runway. I also took her to Dakova. But, Dakova and I did not agree on his criteria.
He asked my models to show him their boobs to confirm if their boobs were upright and not drooping. Grin

Ivie and I became closer since she was now older and a known model who was black, bold and beautiful to behold.

One day, Ivie visited where I was staying with my very close buddy who is now the head hunter of an international bank in Nigeria. She lived with her family nearby. And she sometimes spent the night with us. We all loved her, because she was exciting. But, when she came in that day, she was moody and wanted me to notice that. But, I ignored her to concentrate on what I was writing. I was busy preparing for the world premiere of my Sleepless Night and I did not want distractions. But, when she persisted, I paused and turned to her.
"What is wrong?" I asked.
She was grumbling and mumbling.
Ivie is very sexy and even the Pope would find it difficult to ignore her once he set eyes on her figure 8.
I moved closer to her and became more caring.
She finally sighed and said, "Joe raped me."
I grunted and smirked.
"Did you enjoy it?" I asked amusingly.
Ivie pranced up and protested why I should ask her such an irresponsible question.
My friend Ayo was present. And he knew Joe since I introduced Joe to him when Joe returned to Nigeria after some years in Europe.
I was actually annoyed that Ivie would accuse Joe of rape in the presence of Ayo.
"Yes, did you enjoy it?" I asked again.
She became furious and Ayo rebuked me for asking such an annoying and embarrassing question.
I relaxed and Ayo was comforting her.
Then I asked her when it happened.
"28 days ago," she replied.
I actually wanted to laugh aloud, but I grunted.
"So, Joe raped you 28 days ago and you are just telling me now?"
She gave me her reasons for keeping it to herself.
Because of the stigma and fears of how I would react.
She said Joe did it the very day I told her to wait for me in Joe's family house.
I recalled the day and why I told her to wait for me whilst I went for an appointment nearby.  Then, I sighed.
The fact was, Ivie was Joe's lover before he travelled to Europe. But when he returned he dumped her. But, seeing her now as she looked so attractive, he wanted to sleep with her. And she must have surrendered to him, because she wanted to win him back. Joe is the kind of guy we call fine boy, looking sexy in Lagos. But, when Joe did not renew their love affair, she decided to blackmail him. So, politely, I told her that I would deal with Joe for raping her. But, I did not deal with Joe and that did not stop me from loving her.
Even if one million men raped my wife, I cannot stop loving her.
Live or die,  life goes on.
But, later Ayo told me that if I did not want to have a relationship with Ivie, he would do so. I told him to have his way. And Ivie agreed to be his lover.
Ayo enjoyed their erotic intercourses. But, he married another babe. His wife is related to Mike Adenuga and their wedding was one of the best weddings of the year. The reception was at the Multi Purpose Hall of the University of Lagos. My companion at the occasion was the daughter of a Nigerian millionaire.

Ivie is still a model and she is one of the models on the billboards of Globacom across Nigeria.

Part Two

He took the Igbo Princess to Gbenga Obasanjo's wedding to make her realize his social status, but she was not impressed. He paid for a dinner for two to celebrate the Valentine's Day with her, but she did not spend the Valentine's Day with him. And when she told me I was not happy, because I wanted her to marry Dr. Dayo who would have been perfect for her. But, her family did not want her to marry a Yoruba man. They are from a royal family in Anambra State and insisted that the Princess must only marry an Igbo like them.

N.B:

I will continue the extracts from my Naked Passions later.
The book is going to be over 700 pages long. It is my autobigraphical narrative.

Watch out for more on other top Nigerian models, actresses and leading ladies in Nigeria and from Germany and America from 1990 to 2000, including the Queen of Nigerian models, Yemi Fawaz who hosted my first salon Art Exbition and was one of the most beautiful women in the world who my appreciated Art and Literature.

Celebrate life in the romance of our existence.

I call Princess Lily, the Princess of the Nigerian Bar, because she is a titular Princess and an attorney with the advanced law degree of LL.M from the University of Lagos; a bona fide member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the International Bar Association.
She is my lawyer and confidant and we have been close partners since 1990 to date. But we don't harass each other. She is still single, because her family did not allow her to marry Dr. Dayo the dentist. And he was very kind and generous to her family. Her mother welcomed him until he asked for her hand in marriage.
"She cannot marry a non-Igbo," her mother said emphatically.
She agreed with the decision of her mother.
Dr. Dayo married another young lady who used pregnancy to trap him.

Princess Lily has taught me a lot about the romantic devices and schemes of Nigerian girls from her days at the University of Abuja and everybody swore that we were lovers. But, we were just close friends.

She always insisted I followed her to see her uncles and other relatives whenever she visited them and many of them felt very uncomfortable whenever she allowed me to witness the private matters of her family after the death of her father the Igwe of a chiefdom in Anambra state in Eastern Nigeria. She felt secured in my company. And her mother appreciated me for my good nature. Her late husband and my late father were friends, and she wanted the friendship to continue with their survivors. And if Princess Lily and I end up as husband and wife tomorrow, her people wouldn't be surprised. In fact, they believe that I am the one shying away from the consummation of my friendship with their black and beautiful daughter. But, I believe it would be better if she married another man.

We were not very close at the beginning, because she was actually bluffing me until she saw Nikky visiting me.

There were so many young ladies seeing me in our ramshackle bungalow. And many people were wondering why girls and women were flocking to my place daily. The most beautiful and prettiest girls in the neighbourhood were always at home in my company.
One day a man passsing by asked if the place was a brothel!
A neighbour said it was only a tenement. And one of the oldest and ugliest tenements on the street. So, what was their attraction?
Mike was the answer.

Princess Lily believed that she was above the competition for my attention. So, she kept away for years until the German blonde Nikky arrived. And the neighbourhood gossips made our relatioship the scuttlebutt of the neighbourhood.
Nikky was tall and pretty and she was like a Godsent angel.
A young neighbour Olumide met her at the popular Bar Beach on Victoria Island, scribbling in the sand. She was drawing abstract images. He told her that he knew someone who would unravel the mystery of her abstract art and she asked him to lead her to my place. And that was how we met and an extraordinary love between a black Africa artist and poet and a German sociologist and artist started from 1992 to 1994.

Nikky's mother and sister had to come all the way from Munich to persuade her to return home, because the news was that Nigeria would break up over the June 12 crisis. And we discussed it before she left. I was not ready to leave my bereaved family. My mother had died in a terrible public transport bus accident on May 26, 1993, whilst Nikky was busy taking care of the quadriplegic children at the Beth Torrey Home in Northern Nigeria and I left for the burial of my beloved mother in our village in Umuahia before she could join me. She had to come, because she was the only one that understood me and could comfort me. My Nigerian female companions did their best, but as I told a buddy in Yoruaba, "Won le da bi Nikky, meaning, they cannot be like Nikky. Nikky left for Munich in 1994 and later complained of problems with her father and she had to leave home and then she fell ill and I lost her in 1995.

The loss of my beloved mother and Nikky marked a turning point in my life. Because, I did not care again. The two most important companions in my life were gone. All the other Nigerian companions were just people I politely tolerated, because I couldn't have any serious relationship with non-vegetarians. Nikky and I were strict vegetarians and even before Nikky, my American friend Linda Bruce was also a strict vegetarian who always brought me Granola Bars whenever she came to Nigeria. And after the loss of Nikky the 14 years period of my vegetarian life ended and I now admitted physical relationships with my non-vegetarian Nigerian girlfriends. Then my steamy relatiosnhip with the raunchy Tomina from the University of Port Harcourt blossomed.

Tomina was big and beautiful and her family was wealthy. Her mother is from my tribe while
her father is from Ikwere and they live in their palatial home in Port harcourt.
She came into my life when I was in dire straits and she was my best friend and best human comforter. But, it was a very strange love affair that was like an X-rated film without sex.

Tomina was very popular as one of the big girls on campus at the University of Port Harcourt. But she is now happily married in the Netherlands.

Regardless of what the others said, I felt this was pretty good. Your life is quite interesting and at the same time, sad. I'd love to see the full book, Naked Passions, once you are done with it.

@pcicero
there's no need to get abusive, he wrote a novel and gave us the romantic excerpts on the romance thread, what's wrong with that?
If you don't like it, skip, it's not by force
go and create your 'how do i get my p***s longer' threads
instead of hating, go to the literature section and see his works and u'll know in the aspect of intelligence, u ain't got nothing on him
u just go about running your mouth like sum clockwork parrot. . . *hiss*

A little confused on what this is supposed to be. I mean is it a book, a dairy, a serial, Fanfic and is this the right forum for it?

Oh well, whatever it is. . . It was very, very interesting. The writer has a way of putting you right in the middle of the happeningstances. Wouldn't mind reading some more.

crying my eyes out because people are complaining that it's too long. Reading is truly a dead art. . . Science, oh whatever. Cry

Orikinla,

You have a very rich imagination.  Nice work and the whole piece is riveting. I would only caution about labelling it "an autobiography".
