You CANNOT put a w124 engine with a 103 in a w124 chassis that has a 104 or vice versa. Those are two different vehicles with two different chassis. You can interchange some of its body components but the fact still remains that they aren't the same. Except you know better than the engineers that put the vehicle together. Benzes are engineered to precision so, you can't get away with parts that aren't supposed to be used.
Secondly, the V Boot comes with a 103 engine and the code name is M103.XXX is so different from the M104.XXX engine. Some of the E Classes (padded) have infrared keys that tells the computer and transmission that an authorized access has been made, thus disengaging its security armour.
And if you were referring to the w210 engine (twin light benz), that is an impossibility. Because you can't seat the transmission of that chassis into a V Boot. Worse, the engine's inferior to the w124 chassis series.
