Who Says God Is Good?
« on: February 18, 2007, 06:59 PM »

“I got to a stage in my life that when someone says God is good, I just giggle”
                                                                                                                    …. buf akpan
Some things seem normal, some things seem acceptable and some things are just terrible without leaving any room for comprehension because they are just against the standard of some accepted truth that forms our beliefs, locked up in our emotions.

So many times I have struggled and tried to do what I know am supposed to, which is acceptable to God even when I know or I see what is written about me in the sky and not in the stars like a rainbow with beautiful colors. I see many trying to accomplish, many trying to accumulate all they can for themselves without being sure of what will happen the next moment ( for those living just by chance ).

Many times I have been forced to ask what life really means. I have discovered many do not even have reasons to ask what life means to them because of the drawn and programmed life they just come and fit into once there’s enough to fill the tummy.

Many send their children to the best school in the world where men are still their tutors but because these tutors are assumed to be perfect, we generally conclude that we can only get the best when we learn under them and we fail to realize the BASIS OF OUR EXISTENCE.

Who can prove why White is White, why Red is Red, why Black is Black and why they name deviant a “Black sheep” or how easy will it be describing the color Blue to a man born blind? The point is that we were given no choice at all to make decisions in some things and many bound under the law of men claim to be free yet they try to achieve, they try to accomplish, they try to satisfy someone somewhere; a boss, father, mother, pastor, husband, wife, e.t.c.

Many of us even try to satisfy God but can any man ever satisfy God when the best of man is a filthy rag to Him? Let your answer come from within so you can answer the next ones:

who are you living for?

What are you living for?

Why are you even dying to gain more knowledge which leaves the room wide open to no other source than knowing more about good and evil?

   WHAT IS LIFE?
Who’s got the answers: Bill Gates, Anthony Robbins, Kelly Varner, Pastor Adeboye, Oprah Winfrey, George Bush or Buf Akpan?

Hmmm! We’ve tried, struggled, many are still trying and many more will try just to see the goodness of God. But how many will attain, how many have attained and how many more know they will attain just by trying or can our trying ever give us any other thing than sweat?

Can God ever be good or why was the priestly standard changed?

“People were given the law under the system of priests from Levi’s family group. But people could not be made spiritually perfect through that system (standard) of priests. There was a need for another priest to come. I mean a priest like Melchizedek, not Aaron”.
                                                 …Heb 7 : 11 (ERV)

No man will ever say God is good in difficulties but Jesus will always say “not my will but yours”. There’s no other good being except God. We were not born to struggle but to be free in his presence.

I love you but the Lord loves you more than i do
