Fond Thoughts (An Original Poem)
« on: February 18, 2007, 11:01 PM »

Sometimes i wonder, why im so fond of you

I've seen so many faces and met so many people

But none quite like you

Your face is not the most beautiful i have seen

But definitely the most stunning

Your voice is not the sweetest i've heard

But definitely the most alluring

Maybe its your smile which brightens me up

Maybe its When you talk that i wish you'd never stop

Maybe its When i hear your voice & i feel like a baby

Wanting that voice to be near all the time

Maybe its When i see your smile & i feel a warm glow from the deepest part of me

Making me come alive like the dawning of a new day

I can't really tell

I don't really understand

But i can tell it happens when you come around

And i want you to come some more

There are a thousand and one reasons people give for the things they do

But i just can't explain why i'm so fond of you

The simplicity of it is absolutely true, pure & enchantling stirring!
smacks of an intense feeling from well within & the presentation is near perfection!

I love poems like this, very romantic

But I must confess

On reading the 1st few lines i almost dismissed the credibility of its originality.

Simply because it reminded me of Teddy Pendergrass's "You're my latest, my greatest inspiration" ( an oh so lovely piece)

On further reading, i was quickly enraptured in a daydream right in my office

with a beautiful Nigerian lady with an alluring ambience and a bodacious curve

Talk of wishful wanting, till i spilled my coffee all over my desk Cry

Anyway, i love it , keep it up.

There’s something about u,
Your beautiful, exotic features
Your endearing smile,
Your soft, honeyed tones,
Your sweet, charming disposition,
I just don’t know. . .
But it makes me think about u. . .
All the time

an old one of mine. . . .

@Sean25:

Very very nice. But why did you wait until after university to tell her? Things might have turned out differently between you two. Maybe
