I wonder how Federer manages to win matches despite all the surrounding distractons.  He was so relaxed yesterday that he had time to sight-see.  I must confess, I was disappointed with his performance today.  He squandered two or three match points and made so many uncharacteristic errors.

He faces in-form Tommy Haas in the semi-finals.  That's one tough nut to crack.  I hope he doesn't make life difficult for himself tomorrow.

The match between Nadal and Youzhny starts soon.

Youzhny now faces Soderling in the other semi-final.

Though a nufc supporter,i don't think arsenal would want to stoop that low even as far as warford.  its probably a sold out due to numerous matches to be played.  Losing in the fa will make them focus on the premiership and champions league.

Mikhail Youzhny defeated Sweden's Robin Soderling 7-5 6-2 at the Dubai Open to reach his second successive final.

The unseeded Russian, winner in Rotterdam on Sunday, will play top seed Roger Federer or fifth seed Tommy Haas in Saturday's final.

How will a man who played for 2hrs 3min cope against his opponent, who spent just 49mins to complete his match. The match starts 16:00 CET.

Despite raising his game in the second set, matching Federer point by point, Haas gifted his opponent his sixth service game to allow him move 6-5 ahead.  Federer then held serve to book a place in the final with Youzhny, Nadal's conqueror. The match ended 6-4, 7-5.

ATP Acapulco:

Fourth-seeded Juan Ignacio Chela of Argentina won the Mexican Open title for the second time, beating eighth-seeded Carlos Moya of Spain, 6-3, 7-6 (2) Saturday night.

Chela's four career victories on the ATP Tour include a victory here in 2000. Last year he lost in the final to Luis Horna.

"There's something special with Mexico, I've always played great here," Chela said. "Last year I dedicated the win to my girlfriend, but I lost. Now that's she's here, it's a double satisfaction."

He earned $156,550 with the victory.

Moya, who has won twice in Acapulco, won $77,750.

`'I knew that if I could win the second set I could win the match, but I got nervous," Moya said.

ATP Las Vegas:

Lleyton Hewitt won the Tennis Channel Open for the third time, outlasting fourth-seeded Jurgen Melzer 6-4, 7-6 in the final Sunday.

The second-seeded Hewitt dropped the first three games of the second set and later fought off four set points before winning the thrilling tiebreaker.  A Melzer double-fault put Hewitt in command, giving him an 11-10 lead.

Hewitt capitalized on the next point, getting Melzer to hit it into the net. It was Hewitt's 26th career title, but only his third since January 2005.
