I Need Your Candid Advice
« on: February 21, 2007, 10:09 AM »

Dear fellow nairalanders,
I have this small job at hand and even though i live far from my place of work and the salary is small i still do it with all my heart. i can count a number of things i've help the IT company achieve in my 3 months of work.

My boss called me to tell me he likes my work but he couldnt plan because he doesnt know if i'll go soon ( probably because other staff see me on nairaland always) I'm expecting from bigger companies as i've done tests and interviews with bigger coys. My boss want s me to commit myself so we can move up together, i like him because when other bigger places were doing yanga for me he employed me. please i need ur advice. should i go when the time comes or have faith and move up with my entrepreneural boss. please help!

This is a tough one, sweetheart if your heart is 100% committed to your present working place, i mean if you enjoy what you do there and you're happy with the working enviroment, in my humble opinion i'll advice you to stay. If you quit the work for a bigger company, it won't make matters easy if even though the pay is higher but you feel miserable yourself. I've always believed that the most important factor that determines a working place is how good you feel about the place, do you look forward to going to work in the morning or is it a place you can't wait for the end of your shift to get away from the"good-for-nothing place" and you wish morning won't come so you don't have to be there. Please decide wisely, any decision you take means a lot to your future state in mind so listen to your heart, take your time and no matter what you decide, try to make the best out of it Cheesy Life is too short to be in misery Wink
