Chipped Ps3? Not likely!
I'm selling my Ps3 to any interested buyer. It's been fully upgraded, running Yellow Dog Linux 5.0 with mplayer installed so you can not only watch DVDs but VCDs too! Also has Open Office.org 2.0, Mozilla firefox browser, Several linux games, SNES emulator and can play multiple video files unsupported in the normal Ps3 gameOS (Divx, .avi, mp4)
Price? Just 90K. For a $600 console that's a steal, considering i got it for 80K
Reason for sale?
I'm focusing on my xbox360 for now, will prolly buy a ps3 again when Metal Gear 4 comes out!

You can install Linux on your ps3 without chipping it. in fact, it's supported by sony, though they do not provide the actual linux installation, buit they provide tools allowing you to install certain flavours on linux on it.

oo yea are u serious, I have been looking for ways on how to chip it, but the problem is to find empty blu-ray discs and blu ray drive to burn ps3 games

Blu Ray and HR-DVD have been cracked so that shouldn't be a problem.

dont get this wrong. dunno why d moderator named dis topic this way, but there's no such thing as a chipped ps3. also bluray and hddvd movies have been cracked, yes, but its not d same thing as cracking a ps3 game. also, even if we were able to copy it, how would you run it off a ps3, without the hardware security sectors?
