its not crap, its common sense that the more games you play, the more exhausted you become and your performance level goes down
I'll give 3 examples
tottenham last season got knocked out of the cups early, so they had fewer games and almost came 4th
this season, they reached the carling semis, are in the FA quarters and are in the UEFA cup. what is their league position? lower half
liverpool won the CL in 05, what was their league standing? 4th
they crashed out early last year, what was their league standing? 3rd
refute these examples if you can
ps sometimes exceptions happen, eg 1999 treble by man utd, and last season by barca, but most of the time its a momentary fluke, you can't carry it on for long,
even almighty real in their heyday only won the CL in 1 season intervals, not back to back, because pressure of domestic and continental fights combined is too much.

I appreciate your futile attempts to put a gloss on Arsene Wenger's underwhelming European record.You excused Mourinho's back to back success in Europe as merely the product of an untasking domestic schedule.
This is quite an excuse
One may ask,if the untasking domestic schedule was the prime reason for Portos' consecutive victories,why hasn't this been repeated by other managers of Portuguese club?When was the last time a Portuguese club won a European trophy once not to talk of twice in a row?
Your logic in essence leads to this conclusion;it is easier to win a trophy in Europe as manager of Porto than as manager of Arsenal.No one but an Arsenal fan will accept this as plausible
Wenger's poor record is not just reflected in the lack of wins but in the early exits of his sides.Last year was the first time Arsenal made it past the quarter-final stage in the CL.In more than 2 decades of mgt,it marked just the 3rd time a side managed by him made it past the Q-F .
This is an appalling record no matter the excuses.

my assertions were not to excuse arsene, it was just to show differences in situations and conditions which might contribute to the different performances

Compared to Arsenal we have actually won the CL and made it past the Q-F on 3 occasions compared to Arsenal's once.
Fergie won in Europe even at Aberdeen defeating Barca in the final,his record at Aberdeen alone is even better than Wenger's.So don't begin to compare .
Mourinho has done something tangible.Premiership titles back to back.

I wonder where you get the figure "12 years" from
He spent millions and won 8 league titles(9th one on the way) and 2 trophies in Europe-that is as many as Arsenal have won in their entire history.
As for nurturing talents-Beckham,Scholes,G.Neville,P.Neville,Butt,Giggs,W.Brown,Silvestre,Strachan e.t.c
Those talents won us a treble,your talents have won you nothing significant
