Actually, it's quite possible that the O.P. could have been born had said parents been gay. It's not as likely, I grant you, but possible.
Many lesbians have become pregnant and given birth (even some celebrities such as Melissa Etheridge). And, while it's not something that many would likely have a propensity towards doing, there is nothing to stop a gay man from impregnating a woman.
