Immigrant

       The word immigrant strikes like an arrow
       Yes, that is what I am
       I am an immigrant in a foreign land finding my way left and right
       Its so hard to find ones way knowing that you are a stranger to all
       wherever you find yourself, be it in Europe or America or France
       You are an immigrant
       I might speak little  English  or no English at all but even though l try to speak it, people say l have a horrible accent   and     yet find it hard to understand me
       People look at me like if I came from planet Mars
       I might be the king’s son where I came from or the queen of my tribe but no one recognizes that when l land the foreign soil.
      I might have been living in palaces in my mother land but who cares where l even come from.
       To all , l am an immigrant , an alien who has to find my way myself   

       No one knows the fear of the immigrant
       Your life could end at any time
       You could be deported at any time
       You just have to find your way yourself because no one is willing to help you
       Even your fellow foreigner doesn’t want you to be better than him
       He or she quotes, l found my way myself so also l expect you to find your way yourself
       Well, in all thing, you are not the first immigrant and you would not be the last but by following the right path, you can become successful and create openings for other less fortunate ones back in motherland Africa.
