Can anyone suggest any good Igbo songs, or where I can locate Igbo songs online. I'm working on an idependent movie and i'm trying to find popular classic Igbo songs to use.

why not compose one, or look for someone to do it for you. In that way, there will be originality in your movie. I personally don't like this 'copy n paste' thing.

@ Topic,

You can check this website

http://krazienaija.com/music_player.htm

There are lots of songs on that site so u have to scroll down and search for what you want. There are a few tracks from Onyeka Owenu, Felix Liberty, and some really nice igbo songs. Most of the songs are full length tracks but you cant donwnload any of the songs.

Get in touch with Chris Okoro, he'll cook up some original soundtrack for your movie. If you're interested I'll try to get you his contact info. Don't use those classic Igbo music without clearance, it ain't good and will hurt you down the line. Another option is to buy some royalty free music with African themes. They are very affordable and you are free to use them forever once you make the one time payment (usually between $10 - $39.00) per track. There are even some free ones flying around but most of them are crap.

Chris who? don't i know that guy from somewhere?  Undecided
why would a Naija person pay for the music when they can kukuma formulate their own song or copy other people's own. if it comes to worse, they change some words and it becomes hit Grin
