at diz stage, i don't kare which tribe will be president again but to have a good leader and i wish all diz older ones or diz ones that has runned before can give way 2 younger ones that knowz wadd up.  4 igbo presidency, i don't see it coming because they have 2 come 2geda 1st and select someone  2  run against other candidates and they ain't ready yet until there is  igbo's unity. i don't  and won't support orji uzor kalu and i know he won't do rubbish, charity begins at home. he has done nuthing in abia state where he is da governor not 2 talk of igboland or nigeria as a whole. if we r talking of governor of cross river (da duke guy), very good but but orji uzo kalu or any igbo governor, even governor of anambra state is better dan kalu because he has did something upon all da wahala he went through. again, would up with da south-south and CONFEDERATION? mennnnnnn, 9eria should stop focusing on which tribe will become da president but 2 select someone that is correct and have future 4 9eria, politics is a dirty game i know. we know they will chop but  do more of working dan chopping so it will cover up as it is done in da western world, enough said,  NO PRESIDENCY 4 DA SOUTH-EAST

Why are Nigerian Leaders afraid of the shadow of the Ibos?

Why are they afraid of the opened eyes of a Goat
they have slaughtered?

Its a shame. See this story and judge for yourself:
MASSOB and FG’s addiction to chasing shadows

In a democracy, you won't get anywhere by issuing threats.  Anyway, the Igbos that are spoiling for bloodshed are in the minority, so I'm not impressed by the antics of those of you who come here to make statements that are not constructive.

This issue keeps on manifesting in various forms, it is completely baseless but exposes the biases of it proponents.

Can you tell me a better qualified man for the Presidency of Nigeria than Emeka Anyaoku, is he a proponent of Biafra? Mr. Anayaoku is better qualified for the job than anyone to date that has ruled Nigeria .

LETS CUT THE BULL, all Nigerians are entitled to run for President and if they have the requisite experience and something to offer, your refusal to vote for them because of their tribe shows you nothing more than a TRIBALIST. (Period) and Nigeria does not need backwards thinking people.

We have reached a stage where these kinds of question augment the cause of those advocating Biafra. Is it not time to stop asking where the man is from and asking what he has to offer?

Chief Seun,
our statements may not be constructive
because we lack means[language power] of communication
or because we went to little school
or that we are too ''small'' to be heard.,
but atleast we are passing a message across to the ''deaf and dumb''

That is your opinion Sir,
and I respect it 100%
My message may not be accepted, but atleast the ''Deaf and Dumb '' are hearing it now
If you have read through all my contribution,
you can never read between the lines '' Biafra''
I don't know the meaning nor believe in it.
All I am saying is that people should be free to agitate
for self determination, express their opinion or hold different views without hindrance from The State and it's machinery that don't care for their welfare or interest.
be it the Ibos' Yorubas', Efiks', Ibibios', Hausas', Fulanis', Kanuris,' Zango katafs', Tivs, Beriberis' Igalas' Benins' Ijaws'  etc

Anybody who want to go can go. Its simple arithmetic, as long as they don't cause trouble.
don't forget, the three major tribes in Nigeria have one complain or the other, AND they will continue to complain.

@    conscience    everytime the igbos shout igbo presidency!!!!...yet the uwazurikes of the world are shouting secession threathening the unity of nigeria........Ndigbo should go and put its house in other b4dreaming of the presidency..
your leader ikemba ojukwu was asked if he supported uwazurikes secession bid..he gave a loud yes.and he is still clamouring for igbo 2007.huge CONTRADICTION i must say.Ndigbo house is in dissaray...so threats from MASSOB,BIAFRA and those other secession seeking groups cannot work.

@ conscience again:how can you say people are free to agitate for self determination:thats a TREASONABLE offence.the 1999 constituition says 36 states and a FCT...so any other thing contrary is an ffence against our fatherland.so all those MASSOB,NDVPF,and allother ethnic militias screamin for secession should be roundly trounced and thrown into gaol

@otokx   I think you are being biased in your judgement which i translate to tribalism, which is setting nigeria back.you can't claim ignorance to orji kalus ranting and many others. You don't have to carry guns before we know ndigbo is threathening the corporate existence of nigeria.

Sharing biafra souvenirs,MASSOBS self determination bid and 2007 brouhaha ,in which some igbo leaders are threathening fire ,earthquake and brimstone if power is not zoned to them can all undermine the existence of the country..Lets don't twist interpretation of facts to suit our own pre-conceived ideas. And as i said before 2007 Ndigbo should go and put its house in order before coming near the polls.

@otokx        Is NTA the only media house showing proceedings about 2007? what is the use of internet which u and i are making use of right now in getting information even more accurate than your NTA.      hello!!!! what are we saying..don't restrict your viewing to NTA alone abeg...Even though am not in nigeria right now doesnt mean am blank about infos in nigeria

@RIKKYJEN; please do a research and find out whether the threat to the corporate existence of nigeria from the ibos (if it really exists) is greater than that of corruption, political brigandry or religious imperialism.  This is a case of trying to turn an anthill into a mountain.

Re: Do We Need Threats From Our Ibo Brothers?

@otonxk corruption in nigeria didnt start just this year but started from 1st republic!!!!!Hope you know that was one of the reasons your ndigbo Nzeogwu and his gang jolted nigerians in 1966...corruption has been since, yet nigeria has not broken into shreds .But uprisings and illegal protests of unscrupulous people can set the nation ablaze..don't you get it!!!!

check out the lists of uprisings:Isaac ada boro ,that young chap that declared niger-delta an independent state ,when federal forces went there, there were killings.what about ojukwus genocide that sent about 2 million igbos into extinction?

what am saying is this,MASSOB and other ethnic militias are threathening nigerias existence through their selfish and unscrupulous demands which can never be met

take it easy RIKKYJEN, why should such a simple question as to the menance of corruption and the pleas of the ibos which threatens the corporate existence of Nigeria earn such a harsh response? Please just give us the results of this little assignment and the matter will end.

wow.. this whole tribalism needs to stop.. i'm sorry but an igbo man in office just seems like the final ingredient to a destructive dish.  you have folks screaming biafra and these same folks are rallying around your ndigbo leader. come on. Lets be frank here. Igbo man in office = payback for biafra

[b]@Otokx     &    Rikkyjen.

Thanking both of you for summoning me to your "Court"

Because of our different locations, it may be difficult to gather in one place, but i can offer about six to Ten of us to have conference call on our mobiles with all expenses paid by me.

Now to you calling this a tribal topic, Is OPC not a tribal topic ? Other topics as well fall within tribalism.

It is an open secret that i am first of all a Yoruba man before being a Nigerian but i am blessed with so many good friends from other Tribes.

My best friend in this Forum is an Ibo

My immediate boss and confidant, Mr Ugwu, is an Ibo.

Alexander Ekwueme is one of my mentor, he is most learned nigerian i know( with about Six degrees), he met his wife at the age of 12,resourceful and truthful is an Ibo.

I like Odumegwu Ojukwu to some extent except his speech at Brixton Recreation Centre in 2003. I like his stand but i dislike Biafra. I believe if he is Nigerian President he will not loot for he is stinkingly rich. His Dad is one time Richest man in Nigeria.

My One-Time Landlord Mr Achunine is an Ibo

My Neighbour , who teaches me few Ibo soup is from Anambra.

I have very good good relationship with them all.

Three very major issues are the talk_of_ the_ town in Nigeria in the last three weeks
1) OBJ's 3rd term bid,
2) Aviation Industry and
3) Southern people's congress

My topic came from the third one as you may see, it is neither a make-up nor article but a news story.

This is classic deceit, OBJ said he has an Igbo son so how can he hate the Igbo’s, see the result; you are further away, your friend, boss and landlord are Igbos. I can really smell the love  Huh.

You also make a fatal error in your statement. “It is an open secret that i am first of all a Yoruba man before being a Nigerian but i am blessed with so many good friends from other Tribes.”. How can you be first a Yoruba man before being a Nigerian? Do you see where the trouble comes from? Rather you should be a Nigerian from the Yoruba extraction. Until young men like you start to think of yourselves as Nigerians first, you will engage in this endless diatribe that in reality does not change the fact that you have a collective interest in the corporate existence of Nigeria…..

Thank you so much for your comments my brother, if I could reach you, I'll shake your hand. Topics like these just make my blood boil, I've said this so many times before, what in the world did the Igbos do to the Yoruba's, or even the Hausa people. How come every time we try to better ourselfs, we're accused of something stupid. When is this nonsense ever going to end.

Akolawole,
I'm not accusing you of anything, but I think that for the sake of peace, you should close this topic for discussion.  Even the title of this discussion seems to be aimed at targeting Igbos, and the responses from non-Igbos has been to generalize against all of us.

To those of you insulting Igbos, we actually have just cause to begrudge Yorubas and Hausas, but I don't see the benefit in that.  If people truly want to move on, stop attacking Igbos every chance you get, and if you have something against particular Igbos, keep it against those individuals.  You don't know every single one of us nor is your ethnic group superior, and all you're doing is causing more trouble because we will respond in kind.
