My school was F.G.C.Enugu
The anthem was,

F.G.C.E we hail thee
love and trust in thee we have
from all corners we come to thee
greater tomorrow will it be

Many potentials we have
We grow to serve our nation
Boys and girls in unity serve
for freedom through education

Guide O Lord our noble course
Our teachers the truth to know
in love and honesty to grow
Pro unitate F.G.C.E

FGGC Akure

Oh Feggicola
Our school we all hail thee
For honesty, loyalty and discipline
Our motto here remains that in unity we stand
Feggicola girls arise success success all the way

We pledge to do our best
And raise our banner high
Feggicola girls arise
Success is our aim

Our pledge we must keep
To make our school the best
Oh God help us in all our endeavours
To serve with heart and might and to work with strength unfailed
That we our goal achieve to the glory of our school

We pledge to do our best
And raise our banner high
Feggicola girls arise
Success is our aim

Long live our school.

@Hotstepper (Fggc Onitsha School Anthem)
Na true u speak about the Beethoven tune. Gosh!!!  that was one song we sang in school (and still sing) with so much pride and joy.  I think we had the best school anthem out of all the Pro Unitate schools.

I already got a KC boy representing however I will complete the whole verse,

Verse 1

"Floreat Collegium" shall our motto be

Let us shout it boldly for her sons are we

Nurtured in her classrooms in our early youth

Where we learnt to cherish chivalry and truth

Learn to pull together each one with the rest

Playing up and striving each to do his best

CHORUS

This shall be our watchword, "Always play the game."

Sound the old school's praises trumpet forth her fame

Though of many nations we shall not forget

That we all are brothers with a common debt

Let us pay by giving as we forge ahead

Service to our living. Honor to our dead.

Verse 2

This is what they teach us in the good old school

Only by obedience may you learn to rule

If you fail look closely seek the reason why

You have power to conquer if you only try

Others went before you and attained the light

Where they wait to cheer you victors in the fight

(sing CHORUS)

Verse 3

Present past and future form one mighty whole

Shining forth emblazoned on one muster role

When the call is sounded all must answer, "HERE!"

Voice and bearing showing neither shame nor fear

Pointing to our honor which untarnished stands

Bright as when we took it from our founders' hands

(sing CHORUS)

FLOREAT COLLEGIUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I attended Brainfield Secondary School in Port-Harcourt. I loved that school so much. The teachers used to beat everyone with sticks and umbrella but, it's all good. I remember that I used to cry like a little baby when I was "flogged" Cry.

Anyways, the anthem went something like this;

Brainfield College, Brainfield College,
Brainfield college, my dear dream college.

Citadel of morals
Citadel of discipline
Citadel of academic excellence.

Bla, bla,  that's all I remember.

hello hotstepper. good to know that others loved our shool anthem as much as I did. Correct me if i'm wrong, but i think there were a few errors in 'your' anthem.
'My' version:

BY THE WATERS OF THE NIGER
FLOWING SLOWLY TO THE SEA
STANDS A SEAT OF EDUCATION
BUILT TO FOSTER UNITY.
FEDERAL GOVERNMENT GIRLS' COLLEGE
ONITSHA, ANAMBRA STATE
IS WHERE WE LIVE AND LEARN TOGETHER
STRIVE TO MAKE NIGERIA GREAT.

WE ARE STUDENTS OF NIGERIA
AND WE COME FROM FAR AND NEAR
EVERY STATE IS REPRESENTED
IN THIS SCHOOL WE HOLD SO DEAR
WORKING EVER PRO UNITATE
WE LIVE IN PEACE AND AMITY
WITH LOYALTY WE WORK TOGETHER
MARCHING ON IN UNITY

WE STRIVE FOR KNOWLEDGE, TRUTH AND WISDOM
GOD SHALL EVER BE OUR GUIDE
LOVE AND SERVICE ARE OUR WATCHWORDS
HONESTY IS ALL OUR PRIDE
FEMININE GRACE, HEALTH, LOVE OF BEAUTY
ALL THAT IS GOOD IS NURTURED HERE
WE STRIVE FOREVER HIGHER STANDARDS
GROWING IN STRENGTH FROM YEAR TO YEAR.
