Ramsey Nouah And Emeka Enyiocha For Hollywood
« on: March 06, 2007, 08:52 AM »

Ramsey Nouah and Emeka Enyiocha will soon break into mainstream Hollywood.

The working details are already in progress.
I will update this information later.

Hmmm.  I hope they know that, at best, they will always have to play the role of Africans in their movies.  Like this guy that acted as an African in Blood Diamond, Phat Girlz, and Barbershop.  That's not very mainstream in my opinion!

@Seun, what do u want them to act as? chinese or american? They are a lot of interesting films built around a black person. so far they don't act derogatory roles

@seun
that was how denzel, halleberry, jamie foxx and forest whitaker all started,  with insignificant roles,  but today, they are all proud oscar winners.

the question is will these guys despise their days of little beginnings? will they survive the hollywood rigors?

apocalypto took 1yr to shoot, blood diamond -6 months. These guys spend a week to 3 weeks shooting a movie in nollywood.
my guy na different ball game for LA o.

** the blood diamond guy na djimon nonsou

Many are called, but few are chosen.
I believe more in Ramsey Nouah.
He will make it in Hollywood.
He has got the looks, the skills and the guts.

Emeka Enyiocha needs to learn how to speak well.

Another naija Hype,    just like Tu Face  stepping into Usher's shoe in music industry.   There are milions of actors and actresses who don't even make it in Hollywood, let alone Naija actors. if we are talking about Hollywood movie with Naija plot and theme, but boy do you know that most Americans who are into porn tried Hollywood?

Nigerians in Nigeria are brain washed and can't seem to see beyond their nose! Just mention Hollywood, u see them amusing themselves on Nairaland! No wonder the book of hollywood says: my people perish because they do not know how hollywood operates.

This is another patriotic  post,  just like saying that Nigeria will win the World Cup.  Bollywood will be considered  before Nollywood.  This is for self glorification of those who think that movie making starts and ends in Naija. Naija movies  are not making  into African Film festival and we are talking Hollywood.Unless  we are talking of  a movie where Monique will tell you that fat is fabulous. If this what we mean by Hollywood, then it very possible, but if we are talking about  a big screen Hollywood movie to be produced by a top notch Hollywood producer, people let's  calm down. This is the same thing that lured Regina Asikia from Naija to  marry  an American husband  with the hope of making it big in Hollywood. Americans are not watching Naija movies and you think that Naija actors or actresses could make it in Hollywood.

What looks, just because the guy is a local champion in Nigeria; what, you think he's Denzel or som'n? looks ko, looks ni!
Guts bigger than his are spilling over for a chance in Hollywood. He'D better stick to what he knows.

Haters! Haters! haters!  why do we find it hard to appreciate what we have/ then you expect the ooyinbo man to come and appreciate you?! If Djimon Honsou, from neighbouring Benin Repupblic can make it to the point of being an Oscar nominated actor, then surely there is hope for nigeria. all we need is opportunity.  Havent you noticed that Hollywood is looking into Africa now? e.g Hotel Rwanda, Blood Diamonds, Catch a Fire, Last King of Scotland etc,  and Seun, there is nothing wrong with acting as an African, Africa needs representation or they wouldnt tell Forest Whitaker, Don Cheadle (Hotel Rwanda)  to speak like Africans.  Give our industry a chance!

Why should you subject your own to such condemnation without even giing them a chance to test the waters. As far as I am concern the only thing hollywood seems to have over nollywood is more fiction. Give them a chance to prove themselves and if they mess up then you can proceed to pass judgement. They are way more talented than some of these actors in hollywood. :)

The more you wish one good it comes quick to you.  I wish them good luck because it is not easy.  My advice is that they should try and achieve more in the industry and should not let us down by malbehaving over there.

They have been monitored and evaluated and if they were not worth it, they wouldn't be told to come to Hollywood and get SAG accreditation and this is the pilot season in Hollywood and they can excel if they move over to audition for the films already being produced for 2008 and 2009.
The lawyers have been provided for the legal requirements. Because, they must be SAG members to avoid unnecessary professional hitches and lapses.

Hollywood does not spoonfeed any JJC.
