What Do We Expect In Relationships?
« on: March 08, 2007, 04:11 PM »

I know its 21st century and we all fight for equality between the two sexes but would it be contradictory if a girl expects a guy to make a few sacrifices sometimes(and she does too)? Is it wrong if she wants to feel appreciated or is the lack of appreciation part of the independence we ladies fight for. I am not saying he should pay rent and all but the little things now and again without always making a point of pointing it out to you won't hurt. Does it always have to be a give and take?

The ist key to every relationship is open communication between the couple, they should be able to talk about anything, fears, worries, sadness, happiness, share each others point of view, tell themselves when they are hurting, when this is lacking then there would be a gap between them.
In every relationship, compromise is important, tolerant is vital, sentiment should be thrown into the gabbage, love, care and atttention should move in.

wise saying jello, I reckon you're speaking from the heart.

Relationship requires mutual trust, friendship  and as you said communication. Tradition has a way of re-defining relationship especially in the African context where the man is the Lord and master and the woman his subject. No wonder the out cry for women liberation.

Women are really from venus and men from mars, relationships requires efforts and time to bossom. Here are 7 things I learnt in the first 12 months of marriage http://www.peleodiase.com/blog/7-things-i-understood-better-12-months-into-marriage
