What's the Story behind your Nairaland Username?
« on: June 10, 2005, 06:37 PM »

Well, let's get to know each other better.  So many handles or name on nairaland and I was just wondering, why do you use your particular name?  For seun, we know thats your name 'gan gan'. I'll kick the ball off.

Jogego is a nickname I have had since when I was about 10 or 11 years old growing up in Lagos. Only my very old friends know the origin of this name and I am keeping it that way Tongue.  Anyhow, I just decided to use the same name accross all the boards am active on.  So most likely if you see any jogego on any other forum, it's me.

Delarontus is a nickname from a friend but its too long. Thinking of changing it on the forum. Seun, is it permitted?
Seun (m)
Re: What's the Story behind your Nairaland Username?
« #23 on: June 13, 2005, 03:04 PM »

It's permitted, especially if you're a new member.  But for someone who has 98 posts it is frowned upon because many posts referring to your old id will have to be updated to reflect your new identity.  That would involve a lot of manual labor!

I want to assure you that Delarontus is a really beautiful name. Kiss

Babadudu - my nickname in school because of my complextion. It's been said that people don't notice me in the dark...well, with the exception of my teeth and eyes.
