Wow! I'm glad to hear Christine is still on. I Like that girl's creativity. Check out the day she sang dressed in a red gown and with a guitar, it was awesome. I'd want her to be the winner. Been a while i watched that show.

i must say from last weeks performance, i didnt really like what i saw it was like they are all tired. but i must say something the best vocaliist in the competition have all been evicted, the likes of sylvia, nene, saidat. and of course peter only if he can work on his diction he will be a great singer. i was listening to a documentry on singing, and after watching i just felt oh christine has not been what we thought. she uses a style resonance, brandy sings like that. and its a lazy way of singing. i dont know why Yinka, with all i know it all attitude has not been able to know that. u dont get to use your voice and for me thats not the best way to sing i want to feel the voice. watch out when ever she sings other peoples song she messes up she can only sing a song written by herself. thats cool though, but she should stop hiding under resonance. for me its btw kiba and justina, i dont know why chioma is still there well Nigerians, have a problem when it comes to deciding. look at what happenend to Jodi. if christine writes for sylvia, or nene u will be amazez at what they will do to the song. well its all a game. but i dont see her wining it realy btw kiba and justina. i wish them all the best.

Have followed the show for a couple of weeks now and for me there can only be one winner - Justina.
I loved the songs she wrote herself and the way she sings them is soo credible. I think she even was crying when she sang "I need you back" last week!!!

She has all it takes to become an international music star!

Dongee and Dimeji - I agree with you.
Justina has to win Nokia First Chance, especially now that Kiba is out. So far, some of my friends have voted for him although they all agreed that Justina is the far better singer and performer. Kiba just had the looks but not really anything else.
Christine can neither match Justina's voice nor her natural performing skills. If I see and hear the two right after each other, Christine somehow appears fake. And Enjel is a nice guy with a good voice but he won't make it on the international stage while I can see Justina hitting it big.

Justina also would make a great role model for young Nigerians - I read on her website about her life (www.justina-ogunlolu.com/biography.htm) and it seems that she has come a long way. I thought that I had seen her before on TV and when reading her website I realized when - she won Project Fame three years ago, together with Dare. Typical Nigerian story - she didn't have the money to get a passport and nobody helped her out, so someone else got to go to the finals in South Africa.
I pray she is more fortunate this time round - can't wait for her to release her first album.

Hi there,

as I am not able to watch First Chance on TV, I am in the dark as to what's going on there right now.

I read that the contestants were doing their own songs in the last couple of weeks,  I am also reading that Justina sang "I need you back" - a song I know quite well - how did she do? What were the judge's comments to her and the other singers?

I so agree with the several comments made about Justina - she is a fantastic singer and entertainer and reminds me a bit of Timi at West African Idols, as she is able to excite and spellbind the audience in a similar way as he does.
In her last performance, she sang a song called "I need you back" and got so emotional that she couldn't finish the song. I could hardly believe seeing that - I have rarely seen a performance as sincere as hers that night!

For me, Justina is clearly the most worthy winner of Nokia First Chance but she comes from a poor background and does not have a powerful voting cartel behind her. The other contestants, especially Christine, come from a more wealthy background and may be supported by a family voting cartel.
So let's give Justina our support and vote for her. I am sure that she needs it and strongly believe that she deserves it!

So, it's Christine and Justina in the finals.

I am thrilled Justina made it through but would have preferred Enjel and Justina. Christine is a good songwriter but really boring on stage. Justina is a much more passionate and exciting performer. I hope that she will make it!

@ Saruni
am with you - Justina all the way!!!

I really liked many of the things she said in the interview. Although she didn't get great education and therefore isn't particularly articulate, she would represent Nigeria well abroad - people would find it interesting to listen to what she has to say. She comes across very sincere and honest.

And she is very cute!
Just found these pictures on her website.

The show is still on - it's Christine and Justina in the finals. I think the show ends in two weeks or so, not quite sure exactly when.

Really hope that Justina wins it - loved all her performances, she is so genuine and passionate about what she is doing!!!

@segebee
I think that Justina is proud but not in a negative way - she is self-confident but appears humble at the same time. Think about where she comes from - she hasn't been able to school for more than a couple of years and part of her life she has been struggling to get food for herself and her family through her singing. I admire her for what she has gone through and still has become the determined, passionate and yet humble person she appears to be.

She would make us all proud am sure bout that.

Make sure you and your friends vote for her as I think Christine has a more wealthy family behind her!

I saw the show on Saturday. Both Justina and Christine sang 3 songs that they have composed to soundtracks they were given.

I liked Christine's songs but she just does not excite me when she is on stage. She should become a songwriter and write songs for others and especially for Justina who once again stunned me with her performances.

Since they are looking for a Nigerian allround star and not necessarily for the best songwriter, there can only be one winner: Justina!!!

Everytime I see her on stage, I am more impressed. She really has what it takes to be a star. I would travel to Port Harcourt or Kano or wherever if she performed there, just to see her!

@ sein4soul , Plssssssssss! Let us not put sentiments into this. She's from a poor background doesnt  mean people should vote for her.Justina says she can't afford to go to school because of funds and she's the one taking care of her mother and younger ones.Yet she travels to switzerland for shows?!! She should stop using sentiment as a tool to get votes. That's what Jerrylyn of idols did and she didn't win!! If you are good, you are good. U dont have to btring self pity into it.

lets not bring sentiment into this she's from apoor background,  So what?? But she can afford to travel to switzerland for shows.Yet she says she cant afford to go to university cos shes taking care of her  family. She should not bring self pity into this just like jerrylyn did in idols. If you are good, you are good.

Hey Suze, thats very unfair. Justina is good so there's no need for all that. she didnt talk about herself to attract anyones pity, she just told a story,  we all have stories. so let her be i see her winning. i dont know what christine is doing there is is a better song writer. if there's a competition for song writing i think she should compete for that. but justina is a natural. so lets give it to her.

The fact that justina lives in switzaland doesnt determine her financial status. Yes she caters for her family so what.
Lets leave sentiments aside she's better than christine and you know it.

I'm not saying justina isn't good.I  agree she's good. But some people e.g(sein4soul) are saying we should vote for her because she's from a poor background. That i don't agree with.

And yes being able to travel to switzerland doesn't determine her financial status but men! If u can afford to travel to switzerland, then you should be able to afford a university education in Nigeria if u are really bent on going to university.Maybe she should have said she's too busy 2attend university in Nigeria. Not that she can't afford it.

Justina is good yeah, she is a better stage performer and she has a strong voice  .Justina is better singing fast songs cos she can dance.
Christine is a better song writer and better  tune former and she has a sweet voice.Christine is better singing slow love songs cos she has a sweet voice and her lyrics make more sense than justina's.They are both good in their own ways.In singing its not only voice that matters.

If its for listening, most people will rather listen to christine's songs, and if its for performing, people will rather watch justine perform, Except justina works on her song writing skills.  And also justina has to work on her diction a bit. She's better  now than when she started. She pronounces r where there is none.

They are going to record albums for both christine and justine with a record company in U.K, and the winner is going to be chosen based on whose album is better.
