I don't care what you believe. It is definitely a book. Isn't the Bible also referred to as "the Holy Book"? Hmmmmmmm.

Thank you o my brother. Abeg Help me ask am.

The Holy Bible is not a book.

The Holy Bible is a compilation of many books.
The Bible contains 66 books.
39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament.

How did I know you will come up with that lame argument?  Undecided You are predictable that's how. Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed

The Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary defines the Bible as -

"the holy BOOK of the Christian religion, consisting of the Old Testament and the New Testament"

Also, The American Heritage New Dictionary of Cultural Literacy defines the Bible as -

"The BOOK sacred to Christians, which they consider to be the inspired word of God. The Bible includes the Old Testament, which contains the sacred books of the Jews, and the New Testament, which begins with the birth of Jesus."

I addition to the foregoing, YOU yourself Orikinla have described the Holy Bible as a BOOK on June 01, 2007 at 08:11 AM in one of your previous posts which is inserted below from your thread titled "Proverbs 31 In Full Colour Print And Audio Media." This was less than 16 hours before you did a volte-face and changed your stance. It seems you simply delight in opposing me unnecessarily albeit with little success. Angry Angry Angry

I am working on the fully illustrated in colour version of Proverbs 31.

The book of Proverbs is my third most favourite books of the Holy Bible.
The New Testament, the Psalms and the Proverbs.
My life is being built on the foundation of the Word of God.

I work with two books, the Holy Bible and Sun Tzu's The Art of War.

I love Proverbs 31, because the words speak volumes to me. And God has also sent me my own Virtuous Woman of verses 10-31.

The fully illustrated book Proverbs 31 should be ready for Christmas with an audio CD of it included in the package and downloads will be available.

NEED I SAY MORE? I Rest my Case!!!

intensity by dean koontz definitely lived up to its name. i couldn't put that book down until i finished it. and it left me with a lingering feeling i've never experienced before. for a week i was still thinking of the characters in the book and what they went through. it really draws u in and the whole time, u feel like u're actually one of the characters in the book! very intense! definitely worth reading over and over again. the book was made into a tv-movie i believe and there was another movie that was also modelled after it called "high tension". very graphic, if u like gore! Smiley

i've become a fan of his over the years and his books just suck u in and feel so real.  Smiley

my favourite book of all time would be either David Copperfield by Charles Dickens (i've never cried over an issue as i have over that book!), or all Enid Blyton books. Enid Blyton is my favourite author of all time,  i've been reading her books since i was 4 and still love them.

i used to read african novels when i was in secondary school but have since stopped because i don't see them anywhere these days. i think Cry, Beloved Country by Alan Paton, or so, would be my favourite african novel.

This is a difficult choice for me. I have a 1st & 2nd degree in Literature so I naturally have had to read a lot of books!

But guess what, i am choosing a non-literary book.

Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence people is the book that turned my life around in many ways and set me on the path to becoming the person I'd always wanted to be. So I guess that's the got to be the one!

compared to now, yes i guess i was a whiz-kid then,  though it was mostly because i had no choice. my parents gave us lots of books and no time for TV.
