The deed is done, you can't kill yourself. To me I think it will be best if you just leave that family alone.Just get out of their lives. Forget your best friend, forget her mum and just evaporate from their lives. There is really no way you can make amends. The best thing would have been to confess, but that would cause more harm than good. Could destroy the whole family unit and make you feel even more guilty. Just leave that family alone and try to forget what happened.
