Congrats Olaj! Its not easy! I'm happy for u. These are my advice to u: 1. Appreciate God with ur first salary (part or full). I gave all during my time. 2. Draw up a plan- where do u want to go with Glo and how fast do u want to climb. 3. Invest in shares or other biz. 4. Invest in yourself- make a plan for trainings, seminars and professional qualifications. 5. don't get carried away by the job. PUT UR HEAD FOR GROUND and be serious. 6. don't talk anyhow in the office. Mind the way u choose ur friends in the office (they will either make or mar u) 7. SELL yourself! I don't mean try to get a position by sleeping with someone or the likes. I mean use every opportunity u have to shine. Never be afraid when u meet ur boss,instead do somtin reasonable and good- I tell u, ur superiors will notice u and will recommend u for higher positions. 8. Never be scared to take on challenging jobs- try and attempt what others are running from. People will appreciate that in u. 9. Try and add value to ur colleagues and those around u. Becareful not to look down on those lower than u, they may be in a position to help u sooner than u think. 10. DON'T BE TOO COMFORTABLE WHERE U ARE. Still be on the look out for better opportunities- unless u want to make a real/strong career in Glo. If that's the case, very good. I think I've been of a little help to u and others who may be in same situation of JOBFULNESS GOD WILL SUSTAIN U! Cheers |
