You mean the artificial dreads we carry about.

It's not going to be permanent so what's the stress?

Generally, naija babes don't do guys with dreads. It's the same old story - How can I present a man with dreads to my dad?

I've got shoulder length locs. They are clean, and I get them re-twisted every month. I also wash them every blessed day. Yet, a lot of my naija friends still call me immature for having locs.

Personally, I don't give a hoot what you look like or how you wear your hair. I'm strongly attracted to women with long flowing locs.

@banderas

just had to check your profile

your dreads are nice even from the side view

now when you said they were shoulderlength do you mean 1 loc from the front is long enoguh to touch your shoulder Undecided

@topic

I like dreads , i like hair for guys generally. But dreads for men look better when they are neat, clean and short

i know a number of men who after the first time of locking never touched their head again now it looks horrible, matted and stringy. Definitely not attractive

It's easy 2 say that it doesn't matter but I wonder if such a person went 4 a serious job interview if he'll be refused on account of his locks. So it gets me believing that society may not totally accept this person as a responsible person and I wouldn'y like that

 @mandora

Not everyone is under 'formal' employment many are self employed so all this talk about interviews is being myopic

IT for instance has nothing to do with your appearance its your skill

ADVERTISING is a lucrative industry too and most likely dreads would give the impression that you're creative

MEDIA in all its facets nko dreadlocks will not prevent you from being employed

TELECOMMUNICATIONS- i know at least two girls with dreads and they work in that corporate environment and they were INTERVIEWED

I would date a girl with any sort of hair - afro, relaxed, plaited or dredlocked. I honestly can't see what difference it makes to a person.  Undecided

a carebean girl married a Ghanain freind some 10 years ago.  she had to cut the thing off because she knew the boys family  would never have allowed it.  she was supposed to grow it back after the marraige but she left it becaue it would affect the kids seeing the extended family.

the things are not cast in stones.

personally i wont date a lady with one. not even in my dreams
