Ebrima Nyan, 64, finally succumbed to his burns when he died in hospital last Friday. Mrs Tabara Samba was reported to have been driven by her suspicion that the husband was on the verge of taking a second wife. The incident, which happened at their Old Jeshwang residence, left many in horror.
Talking to The Point shortly after the incident the late Mr Nyan, who was rushed to Lamtoro clinic and then to the RVTH Intensive Care Unit, said the incident came to him as a surprise as he had never had any quarrel with his wife. Meanwhile at the time of filing this story the alleged culprit, Tabara, was said to be helping the police with their investigation .
