Well it depends on what u mean by "proper". 18 is the age that formally welcomes u into adulthood(18 is the stardard adult age in most part of the world according to the law). So at 18 .u're an adult , nomore a kid. So whyn't- u can be pregnant at 18. But i don't think it's proper getting pregnant outside of marriage.

Getting pregnant at 18 is really a bad idea because u are giving up your youth life and freedom and also u re still a baby yourself. I know people say a baby is a Blessing but also u don't want to bring a baby into this world yet. You have your whole life and future right in front of you, am sure u don't want to mess that up.
u need a degree and am not talking about BA because nobody really cares about especially if u are looking for a right paying job. AM talking about getting your Master's Degree. You need a career not a job, so plz i will advice u to think about this issue and also talk to your mum too, this are the time when our mother's are needed so they can lead us in the right path.

I think becoming pregnant at 18 is perfectly fine as long as your life is established enough--you know, you have an INCOME, and you could at least be married as well! You need to be able to financially, emotionally, physically, and mentally be able to support the child in a structured home. If you can't do that, wait a while. |

Oh and also I don't agree that it means giving up your life, having a baby at 18. It's actually just beginning your life. But if you don't have things established by 18, like a decent job, a father who's there for the baby, etc, then you should just forget it, wait till later.
This is the problem with our society today, we treat 18 year olds like little babies, and we're surprised when they act like babies. It's time to treat them like the adults they are, and stop reffering to them as babies. They'll never grow up if we keep calling them babies, keeping them in that "baby" mentality.
18 is an age to start taking responsibility for your life, and getting yourself together. Not the ideal age to have a baby, I know, but if it happens, you'd better be prepared and stop thinking of yourself as a baby.

having a child at 18 is often the first step in a long generation of 18 year old mothers.
typically the dad is within the same age bracket, which means he is in no way prepared to actually be a father. which means your child might be denied all the things you took for granted as a kid.

if you're from a rich ,kept background, your folks will simply take care of your kid for you, and life will go on.
