New Nigerian Official Language - Wazobia?

Wouldn't it be wonderful if Nigeria had a language which everyone could speak but English. All this tribal mess will stop!! Who agrees??

No.

Language is your identity.  Nobody should give away their language.

The successfuly nation/people are those that keep their Language in-tact.

Nigeria should learn from Switzerland, they have four officiall Languages.

The most important: education & mutual respect

@topic.that would be great, at least a nigerian can feel another brotherhood/sisterhood with a fellow nigerian with from another tribe.

that is not going to cause an "identity crisis". my ethiopian friend speaks 3 languages. english, amharic (there national language) and then her "tribal" language. it the midst of all she can speak english. when she doesn't want a non-ethiopian to understand her, she'll speak amharic, and if she's amonst other ethiopians and wants to speak just to her family, she can speak her tribal language. sometimes i wish we had something like that because i was with my yoruba friend and i wanted to tell her something that i didn't want the person next to us to hear, but it wasn't possible. sure we got pidgin but still, it would be nice to have a common language exclusive to nigerians.

Let's stop comparing ourselves with others. Most Nigerians born in Nigeria already know how to speak their native language and a little bit of pidgin already.

Pidgin should have grammar and stuff and more original Pidgin words. its way to easy to b understood by the 'naked' ear.

*naked ear - Non Pidgin Speakers
